I'm am really excited, recently I've started a basement remodeling project. One of the improvements is a 33 square foot walk-in humidor. I am posting pics to show the progress and will be sure to post more as completion gets closer.:ss The floor is slate .. monday we start to install the cedar... i'll keep you posted.

I am just amazed at you guys. I was looking to get a humidor that holds 50 or so cigars and getting teased. But you guys just take it over the top. One of your members mentioned he has around 1200 sticks. This thing looks like it would hold 10 times as much.

the whole basement is a designated smoking area... and there will be a 75 gallon salt water tank next to the humidor, more pics to follow of course.. my wife is an angel - she is totally onboard with the humidor i just dont smoke cigars upstairs- but with the setup downstairs it's no biggie... Is that the aromatic cedar? If so, it tends to get infused with the cigars. You may want to put a coupe coats of poly over the wood to keep that from happening.

Looks awesome!

:tpd:That looks like actual cedar, spanish cedar, the kind used in most humidors, is actually a type of mohogany. It is used because of it's ability to absorb excess moisture, repels cigar beetles, and has a nice gentle smell. If it is Aromatic Cedar make sure that you seal it up or your cigars will take on the cedar smell and flavour to a large extent that will have everything tasting similar.:2

The room sure does look pretty. I like the tile for the floor. What kind of door are you putting on it?

Thanks for all the feedback from everyone... We're putting a full glass storm door on the entrance- the cedar is the same stuff that is in all the humidors at Timothy's Fine Cigars in Bay City Mich. I've never noticed any cedar that got infused in the cigars but thanks for the tip I'll mention it to the builder... Tony
