well i recieved this smoke from smokntaz (ken) a while back. thought it would be a nice day to smoke it...not the greatest reviewer but ill give it a shot.:ss

CAO LX2 toro

some prelight notes:
well i clipped it with my xikar cutter...the wrapper was a little toothy but very consistant. some little veins but nothing big. there were no soft spots, and construction was great. some mild spice.woods notes off a puff. not to mention a great looking band.

1st 3rd:
once lit, with every puff there was plenty of smoke. with some nice woody flavours, and a hint of spice. the smoke had a oak smell to it, it was very pleasing. the burn/draw were perfect. with the ash a nice color of light grey to even white. a little flaky, but nothing to worry about

2nd 3rd:
the middle section of the cigar, i was picking up more woody notes and little less spice. and a little hint of sweetness. the burn, was still great, the ash fell off after 1.5 inches. starting to more full bodied now

last 3rd:
more sweet and woody notes coming into the picture in the last 3rd. got some toast flavors as well. the burn was great and very consistant. didnt really want to take off the band, but i had to the bottom one off. the flavour of the smoke was like campfire toast...not bad at all.

overall:
well, if you were to rate this cigar off appearence, construction, flavours, it would rate very high...im not a huge CAO fan, but this cigar was great. i think CAO might have got it this time. a very plesent smoke.

I've tried a good few of CAO's cigars and for me this one was the best I've had. Nice review

I'm a big CAO fan. I've had a few of these and I think they are excellent. I'm not a huge fan of full-bodied cigars, but this one tends to mellow just a bit in the middle and I can taste its great flavors over the peppery notes. I'm smoking a lancero now. It has a very tight draw, which I have learned is common in some lancero's due to their small sizes. I'll have to try another one. Despite this minor.

The one I reviewed a few weeks ago started out kind of weak but really developed after it hit the mid way point!!!

Thanks for the review!!!

I had the same experience as Darrell at Bob's herf. First half of the smoke was really meh. But at the halfway point the flavor and strength really picked up and became a pretty darned good smoke.
