Just for fun, I was looking at what cigar blogs are out there, and came up with this list. I pulled out the ones that are written by Cigar Asylum members, as far as I knew. I started out including even old or inactive blogs but stopped paying attention to them as more turned up with no new posts over the past 1-3 years...
Anyways, if I missed one, or if one of these "belongs" to one of you, let me know and I'll edit...

Cigar Envy was a great blog but it's been a couple years since it showed life. I run Keepers of the Flame (http://cigarfan.wordpress.com), btw. Things have been a little slow on the site lately, but my blog partner (Dennis, aka Lucky7) just returned from Afghanistan and I'm hoping we'll get more of his killer posts.

Just remember, like anything else on the internet, you will find a wide variation of experience and knowledge. Just because someone has a blog doesn't make them an expert.

I finally got off'n my a$$ and wrote several new entries to my own blog.
I hated it for the people who read it, but summer in this city is TOO hot
for cigars. And it's a double-edged sword, because if I smoked in the
house, it was too hot to evacuate the air through a window, it wasted
all the money I spent cooling the house in the first place. But now that
it is cool, I am smoking all the time.

This post really makes me want to read his website... love his grammar! LOL
I finally got off my butt and started smoking some cigars. I know that I lost the interest of the reading public
of the Asylum over the summer when it was just too damn hot to smoke. But I have added at least a
dozen new entries since then and I am trying to update 4 times a week at minimum. Thanks as always
for reading the blog. My sister says it's good, lol.
Oops, apparently I covered this already, hehe. Sorry...........Topped???

There ARE no shameless self-plugs in this thread. It's called recommending reading for friends.
This post really makes me want to read his website... love his grammar! LOL :rolleyes:I also found it humorous that this other guy who lists 3 blogs of his, two you have to be invited to read
or can't access them, and the third one you see it load and think "ahh" and you see the only entry is "under construction".
I have to say I did not enjoy reading them. :D

Does anyone run a blog where all the daily deals are consolidated in one place? Surely I am not the first to think of this. I am guessing most cigar companies don't have affiliate programs or the like so there is no money in it but it sure would be convenient.

I have come out of hibernation with a flourish.
Good choice in the beer selection! :tu (and the cigar)
Lots of beers enjoyed with cigars lately. Sadly I paired a Monte A with a Golden Monkey and the cigar drew like crap,
Then I paired a fantastic Gulden Drakk with a Esplendido and THAT cigar had a bad draw. I am 0 for 2 lately on pairing.
Shame, too, because I took photos for show a good pair and the pairing was NOT good. Flavor-wise it was hittin'
but draws, erargh!
I am going to keep trying. The weather is appalling just now, and I can't smoke inside, not since I quite smoking
cigarettes and now I actually CARE what the house smells like, haha. But I can still hit a cigar pub or suck it up.
I put up 4 consecutive Cohiba reviews the other day and I was thinking about taking on another "challenge" as it
were. If anyone has a preference on what direction to go in next, check out the latest entry on my blog and
either comment directly there or PM me here on which cigar marque you would like to see 3-4 reviews on across
as many different vitolas. I have a few other options available to choose from, too, so let me know what you
would like to see.
Last call on this reader feedback challenge regarding which 3-4 cigars I should smoke as an overview of a particular
size or brand. SO far I only have one suggestion, one asking that I review as many Trinidads as I can put
together to see if they are as good as Cohiba. After the weak showing by Cohiba, I doubt it will be much of a fight.
PM me here or respond in blog comments at www.olscigars.blogspot.com....I begin smoking Tonight.

Especially new persons can learn a lot about cigars after having visited these blog websites.

I have been around here for a few weeks or something like that and still visit a few others. Cigar Dojo, Cigar bum are two of my favorites after this one.

There are a lot of cigar bloggers out there. IMO, cigar forums are a much better place to learn about cigars than from blogs. There are a few halfway decent ones.

I don't recommend blogs in general, if looking to gain knowledge. They are only one person's opinions. Forums are much better resources that allow beginners to obtain many different opinions... which is much more useful in learning the hobby.

Smoking a cigar is a great way to enjoy even the most mundane chores in life such as mowing the lawn, painting the house...

Ok to be fair I just went back and I should have stayed away, mark one for quick first impressions.
Smoking a cigar is a great way to enjoy even the most mundane chores in life such as mowing the lawn, painting the house or grilling a steak. Maybe you prefer to enjoy a cigar with your morning coffee or maybe right before bed, while reading a book or together with a friend. There are many instances where it can be just what you need. But what’s the difference between a mild and strong one? How can you tell the difference?
The taste of a cigar is determined by the soil in which it was grown. Jamaican soil produces a mild flavor, Honduras soil produces a medium to strong flavors, while Nicaraguan soil produces strong and rich flavors.
Many of them are a blend of different leaves which add different flavors and tastes to each cigar. However, flavor and body aren’t the same. It’s the difference between strength and taste. There are many combinations between flavor and body; some examples would be a cigar that’s both mild and full- flavored, while others may be strong and light- flavored.
A cigar that has the same leaf blend may be classified differently based on the length of it. A larger cigar tends to be slightly milder than one that’s smaller. Another thing to look at is the weight. A mild cigar tends to be lighter while a strong one is heavier.

I departed from Blind Man's Puff back in January and have teamed up on a new site. We've been up and running for a little over a month.
Take a look if you have a chance. Always interested in hearing feedback.
