I'd love to but I have my father coming up from the Shore. It will be tough having him drive 3 hours up to me and then us hopping in the car for 4. It's ok, you can hang out with your other friends, I understand (sniff.....sniff......)

HAHAHA! you're right. By the way, I love the text message. Trying to forward it to the wife without my daughter intercepting it. Tricky.

I replied elsewhere, but what area will you be in and what do you look for in best?

Oakland will be a mob scene. Thats where the Pitt campus is, so it will be a great time to see some couch burning!

Station Square is a cool area. Former train station turned into a large entertainment venue...many chain restaurants/bars (Hard Rock, Bar Louie, Rock Bottom), some shops (including Poor Richard's cigar shop), a few hotels, and fairly easy parking.

South Side has a ton of bars, most with more of a pubby feel. If I remember correctly, there is one huge sports bar there, tvs everywhere, waitresses in tiny ref uniforms. I don't remember if thats on the south side or the strip district though.

Church Brew Works in Liberty (I think its Liberty) is a cool place. Former church turned into a brewery. I don't remember the tv situation there though.

Let me know where you'll be staying and what you're looking for and I can give you some better info.

Thanks so much for this....as for best...I guess I'm looking for rowdy, not too rowdy, entertaining, great lookin' waitresses wearing very little, place where I can reserve seating (I'm going with friends/clients and I want to make sure they have a place to sit if they want), unobstructed view of massive tv's, good food, good people (Pittsburgh is full of great peeps!)

We hit Station Square once before, ate at Melting Pot...great area, you're right.

If you remember the name of that place in the South Side, the giant sports bar, let me know! I love that part of town.

Church Brewworks is excellent! But I don't remember their tv setup either...

I'll be staying downtown & my peeps are all over the city.

Oh, and this place came up, recommended by one of my friends: Fox & Hound: http://www.tentcorp.com/

Thanks again!!
