I got my Famous Smoke catalog in the mail today. Does anybody else love when they receive these to check out everything on print instead of on the internet? Doesn't have to be from famous, it can be from JR's or anywhere.

It is like being a kid again flipping through the Toy's R Us catalog picking out what you want for x-mas.

I don't look at cigar catalogs. My B&M has the best prices on pretty much anything.

Same here, only for me it was the old Sears & Rubbish catalog, aka 'the wishbook'

I love reading cigar catalogs, even from crappy vendors like Thompson. It's fun to read the glowing descriptions of the latest dog rocket.
When I moved 5 years ago I had to throw out all my old JR catalogs. I'm kicking myself now. They were from back in the day when you could get a good box of Fuentes for less than 30 bucks. I think the first box of Cuban Coronas I bought were less than 25 bucks.
Once in a while I find my self thinking of ordering from some companies just so I can get the catalogs to look at.

A lot of the companies will send you the catalog for free without having to place an order.

Get a strong cup of coffee and a DPG JJ Maduro, should make for an express trip!

I read them constantly, I have about 10 CI catalogs laying around and I don't even really order from them anymore.

You better be at the Cincinnati/N. Kentucky HERF on Jan 31st! (http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=5753)

But how do you know that your B&M has the best prices if you don't compare the prices elsewhere?:bh

not gonna lie, I love looking through my CI catalog when I get it in the mail. I have never ordered anything (for obvious reasons), but its good to see that our prices are still competitive even against big names like CI!

I love getting my paper catalougs in the mail. It's like a kid in Macys Toy Department at Christmas. I Like the Old Catalougs from J&R. When Lew used to write his comments & stories.
But I peruse everything I get online too.
Have a great day. Keep on Smoking.
