Since I see the occasional complaint here (and elsewhere) about the Cigars International specials, I'm interested in how many of us buy them. I'd also like to hear details of your experiences with the cigars, whether positive or negative.

I haven't bought a Joe's deal in many months, but I have never had any complaints with the ones I have bought. I had to vote No, because I don't see myself ever buying one again, as my tastes have changed and I now favor the dark side.

I've pulled the trigger on the Joe cigar deals 3 or 4 times, the ITSF Corona maduro for peanuts, the DPG Blue Generosos for roughly 50% off, and CI legends RP line for cheap. When I factored in free shipping, these deals were really tough to beat.

I haven't in a while....but if they throw some Padrons up on there I'll buy 'em all.:D

I used to jump on those deals all the time, but I have been into CCs more than NCs lately so I quit checking them everyday. Every now and then they have good deals on good smokes though. And it is a great way to get some samplers at cheaper prices.

They don't ship to Europe either, but that hasn't stopped me. Inmates enough who are willing to forward.

on topic: I ordered Joe's deal once or twice.

I've never bought one of the Joe deals, but I wanted to when they had JJ Maduros that were damn near free.

I have gotten a couple of deals - weekly, daily, weekend.

I haven't had a reason to complain yet.

I usually jump on one or two a month, mainly for the free shipping along with my everyday smokes. Jambalaya usually if you're there at the right time you can get some awesome deals on product you don't usually see on sale. Got 3 samplers a month or two back for $13 / fiver including such gems as an RP Decade, a couple of Edges, Sun Grown, 5 Vegas Cask strength, etc. Where else are you going to find sticks like that for under $3 a pop? The free stuff with a minimum order is also a nice touch. I don;t seem to have a problem hitting the minimum. :ss

When it's on, it's REALLY on.
Purchased many a 10-pack of the Don Pepin Garcia Black Label 1979 Robustos (31.95/10).
Picked up Trinidad Robustos at $20.00/8 pack.

I know there have been others, but it escapes me at the moment.
They run so many different deals at CI, it's hard to remember which was which.

:tpd: (sort of)

I voted yes. While I currently find myself exploring the dark side and haven't bought from Joe in some time, if I saw a great deal on Joe for NC that I know I love then I would jump on it. It would have to be something pretty great though like VSG's or El Centurions (I have seen VSG's on CigarMonster in the past before someone says "those smokes would NEVER be on Joe). I've bought from Joe a number of times with ZERO complaints to this point.

I do on occasion. I've never had a problem with CI that wasn't quickly corrected, and the last one was probably 5 years ago.

I try to give most of my money to my local B&M's. But, there are certain deals I just can't pass up. So, about 3 to 4 times a year I bite on Joe's deals. To answer your question, YES, just not often.

To hell with Joe and his "deals." If I have learned anything from this forum, I have learned to shop around. In the last three months since I have been back, I have yet to find a deal that jumps out at me as something special. CI and all affiliates have excellent customer service, but I haven't seen anything in a long time that warrants me taking advantage of it.

Since I'm mostly a NC smoker, I stop by Joe's deal almost everyday just to see what's up. On Jambalaya days I check constantly. You never know what great deal you're gonna just miss. :D

Give me a 1/2 box deal from Joe with a 5 pack maddness sampler piggybacked for good meassure and I'm a happy guy!

When there is something I want and it is actually a good deal, I will purchase it. They also include free shipping with your entire order so I usually pick up a few other items at the same time.

Never had any trouble with any order from CI. I use them quite frequently and they are always quick and thier boxes are well packaged.

Never heard of them. They are not even listed in Perelman's Pocket Cyclopedia of Cigars. Wait for another day.

Must not pull trigger...

Joe used to let those go for a bit less. Now it's $37....still a good deal...

todays deal is a very good one, 10 DPG Blue generosos for 37.50, that's what you normally pay for a fiver.

I have pulled the trigger twice, the first one was a ten pack of Hoyo Excalibur robustos for $28 and a ten pack of RP sun grown torpedos for $30 which is a steal I pay $9 a Stick at the B&M

I have 4 times in the last 6 months. Its a good way for a newbie to cigars (like me) to get a nice sampler of "boutique" smokes for not much money.

I also jump on the weekly deals sometimes too... on my doorstep at home I have waiting for me 10 5Vegas 'A's from a JoeDeal last week and the Padilla sampler from the weekly deal... with free shipping, thats only $2.50 per stick!

Yeah, I've been watching Joe's website for a while now but never ordered. I just order two of the DPG Blue Generosos since it's a better deal than I normally get and the blues are one of those that I smoke on a fairly regular basis.

I think I grabbed Joe's deal once when it was RP Vintage 90s. Every time I check it since then it just seems to be things I don't have on my wish list..

Speaking of good deals, the devil's site just popped up with ten of the Cubao No. 5s in their specials section.....auctioning off 50....my guess is that they'll probably go for around $43. Just my luck that I won a fiver of the 5s for 27.50 today and a few days ago the robustos for $27. Blech......awful timing.

Usually how it happens. I ordered some Pepin Blues, than the next day Joe offers them and than I saw another vendor was selling fivers for $18 which is ever so slightly cheaper than the Joe deal so it happens. I have just learned to not eat me up anymore because it never fails to happen to me.:D

I will generally purchase the Pepins and related lines like certain padillas if I like. Doing this allows me to have enough pepin to smoke regularly and age the newer so I dont smoke them on arrival or for a few months.
Never had any issues with product. I learned very early to not smoke CI when it arrives as its always wet.
That said I am stocking up on mostly CC so my humi is mostly CC with Pepins and a few highend NC sprinkled in.

Seems like I buy about one out of every 15 or so of these deals... (3 to 4 times a year?)

I have been happy with what I have gotten... my :2

In the past, I've certainly purchased many a Joe Cigar deal... prices are usually very competitive, you don't have to wait for the auctions to end as on cbid, and free shipping makes the deal a good one. Delivery to me was always quick, although most of the CI product arrives quite wet.

However, my tastes have changed... I'm close to 100% confident that Joe has little to offer my palate nowadays, which is why I voted 'no'...
