Cigar Asylum Fantasy Hockey 2023-2024

New stakes this year hoping to get a few more teams. Commitment is 5 Cuban OR Premium non-Cuban cigars.


Minimum of 8, maximum of 16 teams, Head-to-head scoring, live draft with ability to pre-rank players if you need to auto draft.. Draft order will be random and snaking. We need an even number of teams due to the head-to-head scoring.

Payouts will be to 1st and 2nd place, and possibly the regular season winner as well if we get enough players. This is a commitment, please do not express interest if you (A) will not be interested in playing a full 9 month season and (B) will not be up for sending cigars to the winners in June of 2024.

We are looking for people who have been at Cigar Asylum for 6 months or more, only so I know the players are in for the long haul. Sorry to anyone with less time here. Priority to last season's players, but plenty of room for new teams.

So I'd like to try and get some consensus on good nights and times for the live draft for those who participate. I know we can't please everyone but let's try and please the majority.

For me, Monday and Wednesday evenings are best, but I can do the other weeknights for sure. How about you guys?

Live draft means you pick your players from the remaining ones. Otherwise it picks based on the rankings (default, or you can tweak your own rankings prior to the draft).

Christos is out for this season, meaning we are at an odd number of players. Please reach out or post here if there's anyone you think might be interested.

Dude they are playing the patriots east ... there is no way they lose. The offensive genius McDaniels has an O-line that couldn't stop me and a rookie QB active for the first time and the master head coach called nothing but deep routes the entire first half and half of the 3rd quarter while matching Mack up with a rookie one on one. If you want to laugh search Josh McDaniels burner account. It "could" be a master troll job but Josh is just stupid enough to call that play and his own number.

I don't get worried about the scores after a day or two anymore. These matchups are back and forth the majority of the time. I think I was down 10-2 at one point on Saturday, and only lost 7-6 by the end of the week.

Thank goodness...I needed a break, My dog Bella of almost 12 years passed away suddenly this last Thursday...woke up saw her breathing weird and coughing got to emergency vet within 10 mins and they tried to get the fluid out from her lungs and get to seeing what was causing the issue when her heart gave out and they couldn't get her back. The wife and I are devastated...we had hoped to have many more years with her. Were barely beginning to resume some normal functioning today.

The wife and I are devastated...we had hoped to have many more years with her. Were barely beginning to resume some normal functioning today.

Clay, my goalies have been sheeting the bed for weeks now. Then I play you, and they make 70 saves on 71 shots. But it's early, I've had 10-2 leads on Friday turn to 10-2 deficits by Sunday many times.

Wow, Seriously, I dont think it could have been any closer for the entire latter half of the week. I looked it up, Tiebreaker is highest seed. which means you move on by the skin of your teeth. Ill get a 5er packed up sometime this week, or early next week.

The most unbelievable, closest semi matches I've ever seen. Brett and Clay literally tied and had to go to tiebreaker. I went to bed thinking I had lost to Jason 7-6, but final stats had me one hit ahead (instead of him being 1 ahead), and Save percentage difference of less than .01%. Insane. Congrats to Clay on an outstanding rookie campaign, and Jason for another solid season.

Clay, we do a random draw after the Final to see who sends to who, so please don't send any cigars until that time.

When the site went down for over a week, I was supposed to send John and Mark's cigars to Brett in the States during a short window he was to be there.

I did not have the address saved anywhere but in my message folder here, so the cigars didn't make it out. They are still in my humidor, still in the boxes they were mailed to me in.

I have reached out to Brett to see if he wants me to send them to Canada, or if he has another idea.
