I wouldn't worry about it. They almost definitely shipped it with a signature requirement. So, they can't just throw it at your door.

I've seen UPS do this at my house several times. The distance is a little shorter than on the video but still not a distance I like to see my packages travel across by "air" so to speak.
After the first couple of times I saw the driver throw the packages, I called UPS and all they said was "is anything broken?" Since I answered "no" they didn't care and that was pretty much the end of it as far as they cared.

Makes you wonder how they handle packages at the warehouses.

I had a friend who worked for UPS. He said if they were marked fragile, it was like a challenge to see how much abuse the package would take.

I use UPS all the time never have had any issues beside having to wait an extra day when I'm not around to sign.
I bet the homeowner was in the garage and was like " toss it here, just a t shirt! "

I worked at UPS warehouse in Chicago for five years. Had to walk several ex-employees out because we caught them tossing packages like that and were very damaged. Not to say that it happened often. Also fired a girl that was giving free blow jobs in the trailers to avoid loading them, but that is a different story.

Just received a package of cigars from CI yesterday, delivered by UPS. The driver walked up to the door and handed the box to me. Nothing was damaged.

The driver won't likely be in trouble for throwing the package, but he'll get wrote up for getting out of the truck without setting the parking brake.
Believe it or not.
There's 3 big no-no's.
Don't set your parking brake, don't put your seat belt on before moving the truck and don't close (and lock) the bulkhead door and you're in trouble.

There's a reason why the phrase "what can brown do for you" reminds me of the Asahi building in Tokyo.
