Curious what box code they smoked for #5. I've had recent Sir Winnies from 8lug Mark and 4Wheel Ray and they were pretty stellar.

Oooh I just stocked a 5er of the JFR Lunatic Habano in the humi...it’s the chiquito though I believe, not sure if that’s the same thing...all these brand specific vitola names make my head spin sometimes...
Good for Aganorsa though!

So far I've had three of the top 9, though only 2 of them this year.

Please don't let #1 be a Rocky or a Ghurka. ;) :lr ;s

Probably not, but who knows. Rocky does spend a lot of ad money with CA.

I am pretty sure it won't be Fuente, My Father, or Padron; they've all made an appearance on the Top 10 list so far. Tat maybe, if they stay with the NC theme. If Cuban, I wonder if they would go for the Cohiba Talisman?

I’m not fishing Mark I’m not that kind of guy. I buy my own sticks just because someone makes a comment like that doesn’t always mean there fishing.

Well, Mark might be pointing out how it looks to others who don't know you, Chayse.

Yeah, I can see how that could be misinterpreted, haha...
One newbie trying to help another, I happen to know that there is an online retailer that offers more than a couple of the cigars on that list in a 5 pack deal (buy more save more thing)
To the older members, is it okay to mention that company in this thread to recommend to Chayse? I can’t remember if we are specially not supposed to do that...

It is fine to talk about specific vendors of non-Cuban cigars

Oh excellent, thank you for that Mark!
Okay yeah, I was referring to Thompson Cigar, I’ll paste the link at the bottom of this post. Now, I can’t gaurantee that all the the exact specific vitolas match up Chayse, but they definitely have some of the same blends! Definitely a good place to start if you want to be able to choose a nice variety.

Friends don't let friends shop at Thompsons.

One of the most PITA companies to deal with.

Yeah I’ve had issues with them before but managed to get it sorted out, to be fair I’ve had at least 1 hiccup with each different online retailer I’ve used though...
I just enjoy the ability to select the 5 packs at a discount...
However I’m also always open to suggestions!

Thompson is great if you love lots of sales calls! Think relentless! All these NCs are available elsewhere. Happy hunting! -(P

As luck would have it, I just scored the #1, E.P. Carillo Encore from a local B&M shop last night! Very curious to see if it lives up to the hype...will probably post in the “what I smoked today” thread and give my opinion later today/this evening!

Do you know what your B&M keeps their rH at? If they keep it at 70 or above, you may get a better picture of what the cigar should taste like if you let it acclimate for a few days. :2

Yeah Tom good call, this particular B&M keeps it at about 70 as memory serves. I’m across town at the gf’s atm, so currently stored in freezer bag with 69% Boveda. However, I failed to mention we bought 2, idea initially was to both smoke them simultaneously tonight, as I have to head home tomorrow morning.
You’re influencing the more responsible part of my conscience (angel on shoulder) which is telling me to leave them be until next time I stay over here....hmm

Ahhh okay it’s settled. Consulted the gf and she concurs with your sentiment..looking like the smoking of Encore’s will commence on the weekend of the 12th instead. :)

A team mate of mine gifted me the #1 and #2 for Christmas. Looking forward to trying them. I've never been much for trying to track down the top sticks from the list. I put more stock into the reviews here and that's mostly how I choose new stuff.
