I know I'm a little late, but I just had my first smoke yesterday.
A Bolivar Coronas Extra from 1998, courtesy of Da Klugs and the NST program.
It was quite enjoyable as my first truly aged cigar.
What did you have?

At the stroke of midnight I lit up a Partagas No. 1 as we watched the fireworks on the Vegas strip (from a comfortable distance).
The fireworks weren't much compared to what Vegas has done in the past. For whatever reason everything was fired off low to the ground and pretty hard to see. Lots of disappointed people from what I've heard.
The cigar, on the other hand, met all expectations. :tu

My Son and I opened a PARTAGAS CULEBRA 200?
It was a wondwerful experience. Kevin thought it to be a bit strong, I thought it to be a bit mild.
Great flavors coming through.
This really presented the changes that occur during the smoke process.

Had a great sweet spice at first and then just creamed out.

I finally had my first smoke of 2009 last night HERF'ing with gnukfu and spectrrr. I started with a '00 Punch RS12 and then moved on to a Boli Gold Medal and finished with a Trinidad Reyes. All three were delicious! Plus, this was the first time I've ever smoked 3 CC's in the same sitting. :ss
