View Full Version : Help with the I.D. of a Smoke

Two years I had my friends brother in law give me a small maybe 3 inch cigar
by Pepin Garcia but never got the name & was looking for some help it was a
great quick & short smoke not sure if it was just an East Cost smoke where he
was from or what

That's a BUMMER!!! That was the 1st & only one I ever had. Real good taste
for such a small cigar.

That's what I was thinking as a possibility too.

Did the cigar have a long "tail" coming off the head?

That's the one. I was truly surprised with cream spice flavor & the construction
for such a small stick was real nice.

2guys has another version made by Fratello Cigars. I can't tell you how they taste.

Never had one fellas. That's why I can't tell you. I hope they taste like DPG's.
I may pick some up Friday. Will let you know.

IMO much stronger, but f'ing delicious. Might need to dig one out and see if they still kick my ass :dr

:Its first release was in 2007 and manufactured by Don Pepin Garcia at the El Rey de los Habanos Factory in Miami Florida USA. Later the next version was made again by Pepin Garcia but this time in Nicaragua at Tabacalera Cubana. Next came a version called the M80 also done at Tabacalera Cubana and a second version done at the My Father Cigar Factory. Next, the FIRECRACKER made its way to the Dominican Republic and was rolled at Tabacalera Leyendas Cubanas, later returning again to the Dominican Republic to be manufactured by La Flor Dominicana in 2015. In 2016 it was back again to Nicaragua to RoMa Craft Tobacco with the CroMagnon and in 2017 came the Fratello.

Completely forgot about this. Both cigars arrived, house and the Fratello blend.

First neither came close to what I remember of the DPG firecracker.

Both were a bit light and lacking on the peppery kick that the original had.

Maybe one of the other guys can chime in, but I think it was the Fratello that had a nice sweetness and very little pepper to it.

Would I buy either again, honestly I don't know. I think the Fratello makes a pretty good first cigar of the day. I wouldn't do that with a firecracker.

I have a Fratello or two left, maybe I'll light one up tonight after work.

I've searched high & low for those Fire-Crackers with no luck. It was a great smoke.
