Loved the Bahston Winchesters. He also did a lot of voice acting after MASH

One of the many reasons M*A*S*H* was such a great success.

That's a bummer. I watched a MASH marathon all day yesterday. So happy I did. Great show always provides a good laugh when you need it.

Godspeed. We watched MASH when we were kids. Not too long ago my wife and I watched through the whole series. I am sitting at work right now with it on the TV on AMC.

I got to meet him on the M*A*S*H* set as a young kid--really wish I had better memories of it, but mainly just remember him being really nice to me, taking time to talk to a little kid when everyone else was running around doing whatever it was they did.

I think I've spent more hours watching that show than anything else in my entire life except perhaps practicing law and smoking cigars. If my math is right, that just leaves four alive from the show. Major bummer.

Quick funny story, when I was a young Sergeant /E-5 back in 2001 and stationed in Korea. I was tasked to drive for a VIP for three days...the VIP turned out to be none other than Major Charles Emerson Winchester III. For three days I drove him to events, his hotel, and all around Korea. He was very funny and extremely personable, always taking time to sign autographs and pose for pictures with the troops.

RIP MAJ Winchester
