Truth be told, the Canadian jet team is still using old Tudor jets( last one produced in 1966!) for their demo. They've been asking for new planes for many years now, to no avail. Still a beautiful demo.

i heard they liked those jets and didnt want to upgrade as these were so easy to fly and handled well. but then again what do i know???;)

They WOULD like to upgrade, but at this point, we're happy that they still have a team. It's future was in doubt, as well.

No- the F-22 is an Air Force plane, at any rate. But the Thunderbirds are not getting 22s either- at this time.

The single ship demo is quite amazing!

Yep, saw the F22 demo last year at Reno and it was amazing. Funny watching with a bunch of the jaded warbird guys in the pits who don't even look up to see the Thunderbirds. As soon as the F22 demo starts EVERYONE was watching it with lots of oohs and aahs.
