This article quotes a respected analyst as saying that the iPhone X will probably be end-of-life'd in the second half of this calendar year. Ouch.

At least Apple can count on brand loyalty... ;s

Guess they didn't expect people would balk paying $1k for a phone. :lr

According to the article, it's all about the profit. They don't want discounted iPhone Xs to eat into sales of the next generation. Spoken like true underpants gnomes.

I'm on my last iphone.
When ya can crank out 1k worth of phone goodness on a $200 phone, it's time.

Apple does what's best for their bottom line and are quite successful at that.

I'd buy one at deep discount, but I doubt that'll happen. It'll just go away. I am on a 6S still, but it is starting to show its age.
Honestly, if my employer were not so ingrained with Apple, I would switch to Android.

I have a 6S too, Chip, and a lot of my apps freeze up the last week until I reboot the phone. Anything like that happening to you?

If the screen is in good shape, just replace the battery and keep what you have!

Kind of figured the X would be a limited run considering that it was the anniversary edition of the iphone.

I read that they weren’t getting rid of the x but are coming out with the next version sooner than expected. The issues I read about were poor adoption in China. Chinese citizens did it like the notch at the top and wanted a bigger screen.

I have a 6S+ and haven't noticed any performance issues with it. Unless it starts having problems, I'll hang on to it.

I'm having sporadic problems with apps, it's been ok the last couple days. we shall see. Feels like it all started second to last update I installed.

I'm seeing less battery life when the phone is not in use and all apps closed. The most recent update may or may not help with that. I have a 6, not a 6s.

Not really freezing, but things take a while to load and Voicemail is really slow.

Thank you. (Knock on wood), no freezing for the last few days.
