Their pitcher acquisitions haven't really panned out quite as well as hopes had them, so i'm being optimistically cautious on him.

All we need are an Indians fan and a Royals fan and we have the worst division in baseball covered. :lr

Checking in as a proud Cards fan! Hopefully, they'll give the Cubs a little better run for their money this year.

God it's sad. So much history and such crappy teams lately. Good thing there's fishing.

Red Sox wire to wire..With three left handed aces, this team should win 95 games.

I remember when the Tigers had the best starting rotation in baseball along with a killer batting order a few years back.

Yeah, we didn't win that year either. :r

Three lefty aces til the playoffs. I'd like to see Price win a big game once in his career.....

Ain't Bawstin fans funny in the pre-season? :D

Seriously, the possibility is there if Sale, Price and Pomeranz click with the catchers early for consistency and location. If Sale fits after being with the CWS for seven years, he should be fine.

With the way Girardi has managed the last several years, I'll be happy if the Yankees are +1 over .500 at the end of the season. Thanks to the Cash-man and Levine, the insane contracts have left us with players who have taken days, even weeks, off because they knew they were getting paid whether they played or stood on the field and picked their noses. Hopefully that will change, but I'm not going to be too optimistic yet. With that...

Go Yankees!!!

I am so looking forward to the game today.
Opening day on a weekend afternoon? I don't remember that happening in at least the last 15 years.
I'm usually at work listing to the game on the radio.

Anyway, spring is here, I've got the smoker lit for the first time in a while, and Major League Baseball is back! :tu

I'm hoping the Yankees spring training bleeds over into the regular season. The youngsters looked good.

Stephen Piscotty from STL sure had a rough night yesterday: Hit by pitch to get on first, then pegged in the elbow while stealing second base. And finally, hit upside the noggin by the throw to home when he scored on a single a few minutes later. That got him out of the game and into a local emergency room.

Never saw the likes of that before.

Twins 2-0 and how about Bartolo Colon? Starts his season of with a quality start. I don't know how you can't love that guy. His YouTube videos are hilarious!

The hot stove seems like it's off to a terribly slow start.
Is everybody waiting on the Giancarlo Stanton situation to be resolved before making any moves?
