They are just destroying opponents, scoring 51 runs in the last four games.
It's still early but a fun team to watch.

Now I am hitting up everyone who was offering their season tickets for games they cannot go to. My boss has first row bleachers on the aisle. A friend's company has the first two rows on the first base line right after the photographers & dug out. I sat there a couple of seasons ago and hopefully will get the nod this season! Crazy how up and down one season to the next can be.

I went to the game last night, fun to watch again finally, especially after last year.

Won them the championship a few years back, worst to first.

Fun team to watch, reminds me a lot of the 2000s Yankees when Captain Intangibles came up, a great team with a ton of homegrown talent from the farm system, young, talented. While it's too soon to proclaim them anything, they are still fun to watch and have nothing but upside.

Nice come from behind win today and they proved they can do it without Ortiz ... if they really have to. :lr

Sox's are streaking 11 in a row sweeping the last three series, they could clinch the AL East as soon as Tuesday
It has been a fun team to watch..

I know Ortiz doesn't want to play but you can still offer him a dump truck full of money for one more year :lr

Boston looks like the team to beat in the A.L.

Papi is likely an MVP candidate even though he is a DH. I can't believe he's not rethinking retirement, but then again there's something to be said for going out on top.

He said he's had ankle and foot problems for the last 4 years and he's just tired of being in pain, that's what it really boils down to. Can't blame him there.

There's plenty of post play opportunities for Ortiz, both in Boston and in DR. I bet he'll do ramp on what is available to him in Boston. Good time to be retiring as an icon for him around here.

In my household, the "HatedRedSox" is all one word. However, how can you not root for Big Papi?

Big Papi was on The Late Show last night. He doesn't interview very well.

I don't expect him to do MLB commentary on TV; in english or espanol... He's just not that guy...

Just like the rest of the planet where the Yankees are the "MFY" or MotherF*ckingYankees ... all one word. That follows in from AaronMotherF*ckingBoone. :lr

Well I'm leery of pitchers the sox have been picking up lately but that's just me, THIS on the other hand... really they took a guy that struck out like 11 times in a row on the same curveball ??? :lr :lr :lr WOW

I was totally expecting to see Mookie, or JBJ or one of the kids up playing now, if not two of them, go for Sale, at least that would be the asking price, amazed.

Edit: Just saw that the sox are paying the entire 31 million left on the Cuban's deal, so they spent 60+ million to watch a guy strike out every at bat in San Diego then trade him ... oh well not my money :D

Also have you seen the pictures of Panda lately? Looks like when Papi came back after losing a ton of weight a couple summers ago.

Well know we have 2 and 1/2 aces. Price is very fragile for the 30 million he gets paid.

Or-tease. I wouldn't mind a second half of the reason return in time for the playoffs though.

Now you know how the rest of us feel. Red Sox have been whining since 1919, when Babe Ruth was sold to the Yankees. :r

That would've been bad enough but SS Everett Scott, C/OF Wally Schang, RHP Carl Mays, RHP Bullet Joe Bush, RHP Sad Sam Jones got sold to the Yankees, too. Most of the rest of the 1918 team were sold off to others by 1920-1921. Harry Frazee burns in Baseball Hell! :c

Contrary to popular belief, the Padres are a major league team.

Five teams in California.
