Haven't gotten out but the courses opened up this weekend. Must be a record up here. I've never seen them open in early March since I've lived in MN. The course that I play my league at is offering a warm up deal to league members so I will probably try and get out this week if it stays warm.

Weather was in the 70's last week, record highs for Philly. Def got the itch, will be hitting the range this week.

The weather has warmed up here and I'm hoping to hit the range later this week. Put the clubs in the trunk, I'm ready for golf season to start.

I have hit the range twice and got 18 in this past weekend. Played like it was my first round of the year!

Played two rounds this last weekend. Courses in the area are open, but my home course may be a week or two away, which is probably just as well. The older I get, the less a 40* round appeals to me.

I agree with that. Going to be back around the thirties here in the Twin Cities this week. Guess I'll be waiting a little longer.

I was able to get out for a round last week. It was pretty soggy. My ball got plugged a few times both on the green and the fairway. Hopefully in a few weeks everything can dry up a little bit and be nice.

At the range the past couple of weekends (with the boy, trying to get him involved (11)) and now that the time has changed, we'll be starting the golf league. Ready. Changed spikes in all three pairs of shoes and cleaned the bag and restocked. I didn't play in January, but have at least one round in every other winter month. December was wickedly pleasant. Had two 78s last year (lowest ever) and had a 34 on a single nine, followed up with a 44 for one of those 78s. Looking for some better stuff this year.

Home course opened on Tuesday, but the rain kept me away. Been too cool to even think about it, but we might give it a shot on Saturday if the temp gets above 40*. Got 8 people lined up, but as the weather reports come in, they're starting to drop already. :)

Went yesterday. I had a good time by myself. Wasn't rushed by anybody behind me or slowed by anybody in front of me. It was disappointing to see that inspite of my new woods and hybrids I still suck lol. I finally broke down and ordered a lob wedge though, so that will certainly help. Controlling shots onto the green from a few yards with a PW is hit or miss for me.

I Use My Lob Wedge More Than Any Other Club. Bought This Last Year; It's Definitely Saving Me Some Strokes In The Sand And Around The Greens!:tu

Looks awesome. Bought a Mack Daddy 2 PM Grind 60 in December and love it.

I went out to try to get a solo round in today at 1 pm but couldn't get on the course it was so busy. I guess the good weather is bringing everyone out. Instead I got a few hours of practicing in on the range and green so probably better for my game but not as fun.

My wife gave me a set of Ping I3 irons as a wedding gift 17 years ago (great gift!), and believe it or not, I never had the clubs regripped, until now. Yesterday I picked up my irons with these:
http://d36tfnyud84bb4.cloudfront.net/d_10579.jpg

Chipped around the yard a little bit yesterday and they felt good, but the true test will come next time on the course (hopefully Saturday). Also picked up a box of last year's Bridgestone S330-S balls on sale for $30. Bridgestone's ball selector feature (https://www.bridgestonegolf.com/product/ball-fitting/ball-selection-guide) suggested it would be the best ball for me. We shall see!

Folks are living on a golf course now so I get free golf whenever I want. That plus my new job in sales will hopefully have me on the course very often this year. However right now, it's basically a mud pit so it'll be a bit until they open up.

Shot a 94 at Mount Shasta two days ago. It's fun to see how much I'm improving this year as I take it a little more seriously.

Do any of you guys use app to track your scores? I've tried several (Diablo, the grint, golf logix, etc...) but I've kind of settled on the grint as my favorite.

I got back on the course this morning for 9 holes. The pitch and lob wedge - had good improvement today. I bit it on the putts. Birdies turned into bogies. Back to the drawing board. Golf partner says that Mickelson putts 1000x a day. I probably need to get in 50-100 putts in a few times a week.

Well, at least we had fun :)

The windmill gets me every time, but like you said at least it's fun!

Here in South Florida it's pretty much golf season all year, but the prime season is actually just ending. I've been playing a lot the last few weeks though because it's prefect right now before the weather gets too hot for summer. I plan on playing the next two days as well!

Shot a 45 on the front and then the rain came. I'll take a 45 seeing as today was the first time I've touched a club since last year. Putting was the best part of my game today. The irons were not. Had a Camacho Blackout during the round also. Love those cigars.

Coming off a 10 day stretch at work, not sure why I decided working that many 12 hour shifts in a row was a good idea. Oh wait, for the "wedding" *cough* new irons *cough*

But, I'll be doing 18 tomorrow and 9 on friday. Can't wait to get back out in the sun. I would be golfing today too but I decided to smoke a brisket instead.

Darn rain won't let up in the Midwest. Looks like next week is the best I can do to get back to practice and maybe 9 holes. Not much to do but I will get to the health club tonight. After that, I invited two ladies over for a movie and fine herfs. I wanted to take them with me to see live music but I figured we could ride the rain out, safe and warm.

Putting the clubs back into the trunk on Monday. Will play some golf up in Wisconsin with two other lady friends who also like to fly fish and puff herfs. So the order of business is herfs, ladies and golf/fly fishing....maybe in that order :)

Same here. Second week of league tonight after missing a week because of crap weather.

Still good people in the world. Went to play in our weekly Wed. league yesterday evening and noticed on the 4th hole I was missing my 8 iron. What? Never lost a club in my life. Hadn't needed it until the 4th hole, so I knew I hadn't just misplaced it. I played the same course this past Sunday, so I figured I had misplaced it then and hopefully someone had turned it in. To my surprise someone did. There she was behind the desk. A big relief. It's a Titleist AP1 712 with a Dynamic Gold XP R300 shaft. I'm sure I could find one on ebay, but man was I happy to get that baby back.

Also, a buddy of mine suggested ice hockey in the morning. He says that's all of the workout he needs for the day. He says that it burns off a ton of calories and he does sport a highly athletic look. My concern is that I haven't been on ice skates in years and I don't want to lose a few teeth in the process :r

It is a good workout. Sadly I'm a terrible skater. Especially sad since I live in MN and whenever I do go out and skate 5 yr olds can skate circles around me. Shooting and passing skills are good though. We actually started an adult floor hockey league so the guys that can't skate could still play. Ha! Lots of fun.

I know what you mean about getting too big as well. I played college baseball and we weren't allowed to do heavy lifting for this exact reason.
