A great two-way player from the early glory days of the NY Giants, when football was still football, and best known to you youngsters as a great broadcaster. Sympathy to his family, friends, and fans.

Rest in peace, Frank.

Oh, man. What a great guy.
This getting old thing, watching all the personalities die that have been with me a lifetime, I don't like it. Like zero like it.
RIP, Frank. I'll see ya when I get there, brother!!! :tu

Seems somewhat fitting that he and Bednarik pass away in the same year. They were the focus of one of, if not the most iconic pictures in NFL history...

R.I.P., Mr. Gifford. Buy Cosell a martini, I'll pay you when I get there.

Love this photo. I was watching some highlights from 20 years ago (not even as far back as the picture) and most of the plays would have been either blown dead within 5 seconds or there would have been penalty flags all over the field, usually ending up with 4 or 5 unsportsmanlike conduct penalties, games sure where exciting back then... that's changed as well.
