Headed out at zero dark thirty to fish for the day in Wyoming and then meet the wife and girls at the family house in the hills for the weekend, about 45 minutes from home I blasted a deer at 75 mph, totally pissed, nursed my ride home with a blown radiator, crappy start!

Damn... At least you're ok. Those suckers can mess you up if you hit 'em right.

That sucks Mike. Were you able to salvage any of the meat at least?

Didn't see where it went, I am sure it's on the side of the road now, I'll be heading back that way a little later and see.

Glad you're okay, Mike, of course it wasn't a great start to the 4th for the deer either.

Glad you're OK, Mike. Had a motorcyclist here killed by a deer last week, so it could have been much, much worse. Hope you're back on the road without too much delay.

Glad you weren't hurt. Same for your fishing gear...now THAT would have really sucked! :tu

I can only echo what everyone else said - really glad you weren't hurt. We were in Utah last week and I counted 4 dead deer on the side of the road. A family of them ran across a couple hundred yards in front of me. Seems like they're all over the roads lately.

Youch! Tough start, but bonus that you were able to limp home! Glad you're okay and the weekend plan continues, though changed a bit. Still get to huck flies or now just to the house in the hills?

I hit a big doe approx 3 weeks ago of course I was driving my "baby" 2011 Cadillac CTS V coupe..7K worth of damage,,all cosmetic but expensive..It hit on the right front and to make matters worse **** all over the passenger door.

It seems to me that there are more deer alive and dead then in years before. I would not drive a motorcycle on any rural roads in Minnesota.

Jerry in Minnesota.
