My wife and I were gifted two old cannondale bikes. One is marked SM400 and the other is 3.0 series aluminum. Anyone know anything about them?

Good quality. Unless totally ragged out, definitely worth rebuilding. Buy parts online - easy to find. You'll have some nice bikes. Good luck.

They seem like great bikes except for the tires are flat on both bikes. The 3.0 is to tall for me. The guy who rode it was around 6'5 or so and I am only 5'7. Trying to figure out what to do with it and where I could sell it. I'm thinking Craig's list.

Interesting frame design for the rear triangle. They extended the chain stay beyond the brake stay to make it tighter and more rigid. The larger bike is for sure a compromise for the rider. Such a short stem and no seat rise. Bike was way too big for the previous rider. Schraeder valves on a road wheel very unusual too.

They're not worth much, but Craigslist would be your best bet.

Well for the big bike I took the seat down to see if it would work but it didn't matter since I would rack my nuts on the frame any way
