View Full Version : What Do You Smoke the Most?

smokin5
01-13-2015, 09:38 PM
Sure, we all say what our 'favorite' cigar is.
You know, the one you'd smoke all the time is you had unlimited capital.
But another way to gauge your 'favorite' cigar is to think about the one
you actually smoke more often than any other. So....
What cigar is that for you?

Me? I probably smoke more Perdomo Slow-Aged, Torano Noventa &
Arganese Maduro than any of my other (many) cigars.
Cheap but always reliable.

The same one I buy the most of and the same one I travel with the most is the one I end up smoking most often - PLPC. Hands down.

Fellas, for the benefit of the NOOBS, could y'all minimize the cigar jargon/abbreviations, I might actually want to track down these smokes and buy a couple. I'm just trying to understand. ;s

Viaje. Any and all Viaje. But since some of them can be hard to find I pace myself. Haven't had one I don't like yet.

Sorry 'bout that. La Flor de Cano Petit Corona and Jose L. Piedra Petit Cetros. There's a thread around here somewhere that has a glossary of abbreviations, maybe someone will chime in with it. I can't find it.

I'd have to go with Ramon Bueso Genesis The Project Robusto (IMNSHO the best bang for your buck NC cigar out there), Don Pepin Garcia Series JJ Selectos, or Padron #3000 Maduro. Those seem to be the ones I grab the most.

Same as Jamie. PLpc's.
They're always good, but every now and again I get one that's magical.
Trini Reyes, PL Montecarlos, and Hoyo du Gourmets are right up there, too.

This year has been all over as I am newer to cigars, but I would say that Upmann half coronas box is starting to dry up, Partagas shorts have been a bliss and I am loving my box of PL Monte Carlo's as well.

Sadly I don't get to smoke all too often, maybe 3 times a month, so I don't have a regular as I love trying new things. But if I stop by a shop and want to pick something up I know will be good. I always reach for a Fuente 8-5-8

Same as the others. PLPC's, RASCC's (though they're tough to find if you aren't diligent about checking stock daily). Though I haven't bought cigars in a long time. Too long, probably. But the wineador is still pretty full, and lots of good ones left in there.

I will add that until my stock ran out, Boli CJ's were almost on par with PLPC's for cigars consistently reached for. They are delicious.

If someone I know didn't buy up all those LGC MdO 3's, I'd have a couple boxes in the humi right now... man that guy's a jerk. :r ;)

Ding, ding, ding! I'm still sitting (or guarding) on 2.5 boxes of '02. They would be my most-smoked if they were still being made. They're quite tasty.

I do not know that I have anything that I smoke more of than anything else. I get bored to easy. At present, I smoke a cigar or two a week, and they change up. I smoke my pipe more during this time of year, and I probably smoke more Peter Stokkebye Luxury Navy Flake than anything else.

I guess the rest of the year though, I would have to say El Rey del Mundo Robustos or Oliva V Double Robustos.

Toughish question. I would say if I could only pick a couple cigars and they would have an infinite supply in my humidor.....

Probably RASCC and those little tats (petit cazadores??)

I have really quit smoking most cigars that are more than 45 minutes. I just simply don't enjoy them that long any more.

The most consistent smoke I probably reach for is The Griffin's Toro, but thats mainly because its one of my favorite breakfast sticks that even works as a second cigar of the day for how mild it is. I tend to just smoke a bit of everything, but those I reach for most often. Now if only some of the other guys at the shop quit smokin em all so I wouldn't have to constantly remind the bossman to reorder them so I can have some on hand :r

I really don't know. I usually have a dozen boxes open that I'm smoking from at any given time plus whatever I pull out of one of the smaller single humidors, and when I order replacements I tend to mix it up.

All I can say for sure is I smoke more Partagas than anything else.

Smoked quite a few Ramon Bueso Genesis

I think these will be going into my usual line-up. Can find them at pretty reasonable price on CB and they sure are yummy!

My usual go-to stick though is Fam Nic 5000. Cheap price but great stick. I have actually stocked up on them as to let them rest before I smoke them now. They usually get smoked 3-4 times a week and I usually smoke 6-8 cigars a week in the spring, summer, and fall.

I am still probably under 50 cigars in my 'career' as a casual cigar smoker... But the one that I truly enjoy the most is a Man o' War Ruination Corona.

I am actually at the point where I prefer to spend money on something I know I like versus trying new things. But if anyone can give me suggestions that might be in line with this smoke I would always appreciate it.

Hatuey belicoso, robusto, and double wrap. They have a shop in Reno, and I split my purchases 33% each between Illusione, CC's and Hatuey. That means that by cigars per dollar, I smoke more Hatuey's than anything else.

I probably smoked more H.U. Half Coronas than anything this year.

If I were to answer this again I would say the past year I've smoked more HU Mag 50's than anything else.
Same marca but the complete opposite size wise.
If you asked me what my favorite marcas are I don't think I would even mention H Upmann, but when I think about it between the #2's, Mag 46's, 50's. Connie 1's and Half Coronas it's probably the brand I smoke the most of. :hm

I like variety so my humidor has 6-8 marcas. My favorite though is Partagâs, no. 4, Presidente, Salomón, Lusi, 898, all different and all great. But nothing beats the P2 with 4-5 years' age on it.
