Mike - there were quite a few American there - they either flew via Mexico, Caymans or Toronto. There is even flights from Miami.
One of the guys asked immigration not to stamp his passport, and they obliged!

It's really worth the visit. Not expensive at all - B&B about $25 a night, meals between $4 and $10. Custom cigars $7.

I've read that they are stamping passports now but if you give them a blank piece of paper they will stamp that instead, might just depend on the person doing the stamping.

It seems a lot of people from this area go via Mexico.

Trip of a lifetime right there. Looks amazing. And custom rolls for $7? Yes, please.

I just was looking at a friend's pic of a gordito rolled by Juanita. Flawless.

:tpd: My mother-in-law was born in Cuba and we'd love to take her back there before she gets too old to travel comfortably.

Thanks for sharing, Neil!

I echo most of the replies, thanks for sharing the awesome experience through your photos & my jealousy & want to visit Cuba one day is fueled.

I've had friends go legally and through Canada. I have no interest in the "package through the States route" & just don't dare the other way.... So open the border!

We're in the same boat. My wife's still in the USAF and would be in a world of hurt if it came out we'd gone to Cuba through another country.
