Ok next Sat November 8th is my birthday .

I want some suggestions on some special cigar and beverage pairings to celebrate with ?

I am thinking a Cohiba Black and a Certified EVIL Imperial Stout !

Or an UnderCrown and a RoyalCrown !

Also some suggestions for unusual ethnic food to try ?

thanks for the tips !

If you like spicy food you should try Pakistani Biryani. It is a rice and vegetable dish with usually lamb or chicken. They use all kinds of spices in it and a bunch of peppers.

Pair that with a Riesling to cut the heat and a a Cohiba puro dominicana. Not crazy expensive but I find it most enjoyable.

How about a nice Padron Anni 1964 maduro and few fingers of Pappy Van Winkle on the rocks?

Try some Ethiopian fare. There's a restaurant a few miles form us and it's pretty good food.

Oh yeah, happy early birthday!

A Room 101 OSOK Chingon and a Warlock Imperial Stout.

Or an Epernay Petit Corona and an Undead Party Crasher Stout.

Or, one of your favorite cigars and one of your favorite beverages. :hb

On a side not I have to renew my drivers license , I tried to do it on line . BUT NO

I like the beers from Rogue Brewery a lot! I've tried and loved: Rogue Chocolate Stout, Rogue Dead Guy Ale, and Rogue American Amber Ale.

Cohiba black wasn't bad for me, but it also wasn't all that for me either (that's not say you won't like it, however). If you're looking for full-flavor, I would suggest the Padron Maduro Anniversary line...they've yet to disappoint me. Undercrown is another brand that never disappoints me as well.

Happy early birthday!

Or an UnderCrown and a RoyalCrown !

Did you mean Crown Royal? Everybody who lives or visits south of the Ohio River knows that Royal Crown (RC) Cola is to be paired with Moon Pies, not cigars. :r

My recommendation is to smoke whatever strikes your fancy when you head down to the humidor. I've been let down more often that not by letting the occasion determine my cigar choice. YMMV.

A classy cigar Cohiba like Lancero, Corona Esp, Esplendidos... Trini Fundadores or Sir Winston.

Champagne with good body, finesse, and yeasty taste like (in order of price point):

Taittinger "Comtes de Champagne"
Kristal
Krug NV
Pierre Peters NV
Philipponnat "Royale Réserve" NV

Cork popped 2-3 hours before cigar.
