Take time today to remember all those we lost. But also all those who came together, pitched in to help that day and for days afterwards.

Thousands of heroes....Firemen, Police Officers, Soldiers, and civilians who may have never thought of themselves as heroes, but stepped up that day.

We lost many....73 LEOs, 343 firemen, thousands of sons and daughters, moms and dads, friends and lovers. And we will never, ever forget.

It was a very sad day indeed. It is one of the saddest things to see in any lifetime how HUMANS can treat HUMANS

Thank you for the reminder, Tom. Indeed, we should all take a moment today to remember this terrible tragedy. :usa

In my thoughts often, and particularly today. Words are difficult to express my feelings on the subject.

I was a happy go lucky senior in High school at the time and it changed my whole world view. I can't even begin to imagine how those who were directly impacted and had their lives irreparably altered feel. My thoughts and prayers always go out to those people and the men and women in the Armed Forces, Police and Fire departments and EMTs. We should always honor those who rush in while everyone else is running out, but today especially.

I doesn't seem possible that 13 years have passed, I can still see the pictures in my mind.

I'll never forget. Thanks Alex and others who've served to help destroy those who try and destroy us and our way of life.

I'll never forget. I was in Queens that day. I remember the smell coming across the East River. And the way the air tasted. And feeling frightened.

I'll never forget it, either. The eerie silence of the few days after it happened, and seeing the fighter planes patrolling overhead at night, and finally breaking down after watching many hours of the coverage on the news. May the victims rest in peace, and may their families and friends find peace.
