So i live in Michigan and my relationship with Winter brings a lot of confusion into my life. It's like one of those complicated relationships with a girl when you don't know if you should pursue things or if its a big danger zone ahead.

I love the winter cause with it comes snow (most of the time in michigan at least). I am a huge snowboard nut and its my escape from everything. Anything that is currently going on in my life is out the window. Nothing else is in my head for that entire day except shredding. But with the winter comes the cold, the cold = a lot less smoking of cigars. Sadly i do not have a space heater and my parents take up both spots in the garage at home so not much room in there anyways. The Wind today is just out of control and i'm scared to even venture outside and seeing as the heat in my car coughHOOPTIEcough is broken.. well no smoking in there while chilling at the random parking lot. Not a huge fan of the B&M's around here either.

Smokers Depot has little room to sit with only two chairs but the best prices in town. Smokey's with the best selection... doesn't give off that "anyone is welcome to come in and smoke" kinda vibe. The new place that just opened is frickin awesome.. but 100 dollars a month and you must buy a box of cigars to join their club? no thank you. Maison edwards... i won't even go into their store because of their prices. I feel like if i chopped my arm off and gave it to them i'd actually be saving from their shelf prices.

Anyways what do you all do? just sit it out, be patient and wait till spring? at least it puts some good age on my cigars while i wait at the very least.

I put on ice fishing gear and sit on my porch with a radio, a beer and a cigar. At least the temperature keeps the beer cold.:ss

dude,* I'm not hacking on ya, but you should move out of your parents house and smoke some sticks inside your own place.* Even in your underwear if ya want. but watch out for the ash. lol* Good luck.* PS. If you get married make sure you set the rules for your own "Man Room" BEFORE you say I do.

Sometimes you just have to tough it out. Dress warm, bring out some nice hot coffee or tea, or a nice cold beer :ss, and try to enjoy your smoke.

Ryan,

Long time now see...now stop your whinin' and throw yourself in the mix at Smoky's. You have listed four B&Ms to choose from...we have NONE here in Northwest Alabama. Don't let me catch you acting like a little tit about this again, ok? ;) :r

Also in Michigan SW Michigan to be exact. Current temp -2 with a windchill of -25 and blowing/drifting snow. Once the ice forms you can bet I'll be on the Lake with my shanty, heater, beer and a cigar. Oh I should bring fishing poles and bait too...:r:r

Not a fan of winter. It not for Christmas, I would suggest we just go from Autumn into Spring and bypass these 3 months altogether.

WELL, don't get upset but we just had our first "cold" day here in NC, bummer. No joke, yesterday I was running around in short sleeve shirt smoking out on my front deck, had to move into one of my two garages to smoke today, temp not all that bad but the cold wind was unbearable. I feel for you and I wish Spring were right around the corner, but alas it's not all that close. Hang in there, find a place where you and a buddy can get together and smoke a few together.

Not a bad deal if you share in the same smokes. :ss

I don't love winter but I can tolerate it. I enjoy having a cigar while sitting in the hot tub. That only works when the wind isn't blowing hard though. Anything less than 10-15 mph is tolerable. There are couple of bars here in the St. Joe area that allow cigar smoking. Let's hope that the state legislature doesn't pass the no smoking ban. :fl

i was actually able to smoke a good cigar tonight. Pretty much my entire place of work showed up for our friends birthday tonight at one of the bars. Almost all the servers, a manager and some of the old kitchen staff (no longer work at the gandy dancer) showed up. It was a blast i brought a couple CC's for the birthday boy and brought a monte #2 from 00 for myself. The cigars got passed around quite a bit and actually the birthday boy's sister even puffed on the R&J EL 07 i gifted another friend for his birthday. It ended up being a blast and was quite thankful i had a warm place to smoke a good cigar with some good company.

I hate the winter. It's about -11 (f) right now. It *might* warm up to 4 or 5 at some point, but with the short days it'll be dark and most likely back below zero by the time I get home from work.

Yet another good day to stop by the B&M.

Northeast Ohioan here. I dont smoke indoors, there's no b&m within 30 miles of me that offers a smoking room, and it's freaking cold outside. I'm so desperate for any tobacco flavor that I smoked a Muriel tipped cigar in my garage today. The Muriels were a christmas gift from a relative, dont laugh.
