Well, we got a call at 8PM last night for the telephone interview with the adoption coordinator, that meant we passed step one! Spent about 30 minutes on the phone. At the end they said that if they liked the answers we would get a call from the current foster parents!! We were very excited!!!

So, we just got off the phone with the foster parents and they are coming here for a visit this afternoon!!! Please keep the prayers going today around noon!!!

Fingers crossed!!!

good luck Jeff, and if you show the same exitement to the foster parents as you show here, then you will have a new addition to your family soon.

Oh, some further info we got about Ice

He was cured of heartworm so needs some TLC
He survived behind a grocery store for almost 2 years on his own.
He likes to sit beside you for hours with his head on your lap :-)

Sounds like a tough dog. That treatment for heartworms is almost worse then having them from what I hear. A lot of dogs don't live through it. Sounds like you have a friend for life. :)

Sigh, a sad update. The folks came over for a visit and Ice did NOT get along with our current dog and then to top it all off our son broke out in hives. We are not gonna stop looking but it looks as if this situation is not going to work out :-( its a sad day indeed...

Surely hate to hear that, we will keep praying things will be as they need to be.

It broke our hearts to have to make this decision but Brandon did not react well for some reason and Ice outweighs our dog by 70lbs so we couldn't risk the aggression. We will start to look again when the time is right!

Chin up Jeff. Everything happens for a reason. Ice was not meant for your family is all.
