I have an 18 bottle something or other, it's the one with dual zone compartments. Not much use for box storage because it's too narrow. I did have drawers built by another member here and it's pretty decent for singles. If you're looking to store boxes, save the money and get a cooler or if you can get one, get an aristocrat.
Mine holds moisture fine and all I did was use a few strips of electrical tape to seal the drain. I live in the Bay Area/California so I don't need to plug it in to keep my cigars cool. Plus I freeze to help prevent the outbreak of beetles.

I've got an 18-bottle NewAir. I use three pre-built cedar shelves from cheaphumidors.com. I have Heartfelt beads in bags top, middle, and bottom. I've got six boxes in the bottom now along with a bunch of bags of fivers and singles. Without the bags I could probably do some Tetrising and get another three or four boxes into the bottom (I buy mostly coronas and robustos so you'll obviously get less boxes in there if you buy toros and churchills).

Size looks pretty good and like you said - with a bit of tetris I am sure you could put in a few more boxes/sticks.
I was looking at going for a 36 bottle, but I honestly do not see myself ever requiring that much space... (though I didn't think I would fill up a 50CT)
Im thinking with this you could probably fit 250+ sticks?

(though I didn't think I would fill up a 50CT)I recommend going with more than you think you need. I like my 18-bottle vino, but I'd like to have a little more space and will eventually upgrade to a 24-bottle.

Including boxes I've got just over 350 cigars in mine.

Yeah - that's enough for me (for now) - Will be a bit cheaper as well and they seem to be easier to get ahold of.
Thanks for the feedback.

I Am debating whether to order shelves/drawers or explore a thrifty solution . I have a pan of kitty litter in it and some cedar sheets on the racks and some cigars in it .
I paid $75 for my vino temp kinda wished I had waited to find a 28

Shelves are home-made... 1-1/2 each of a standard tray from CH.
Work perfectly and most importantly, fit my budget! :tu
Cost of cooler and materials...
SPT 20 bottle cooler... $160.00
7 spanish cedar trays with shipping... $76.00
5 strips of poplar 3/16 x 36"... $6.00
Tite bond moisture resistant wood glue...4.00
8# of K/L...$9.00
12 pack of Newcastle Brown Ale... $13.00

Easy to do, low cost and satisfies the macho urges! Even better if you do the work with a great cigar burning!

IIRC, this is the breakdown:
NewAir AW-181E: $190
Three cedar trays: $35
Two pounds Heartfelt beads and bags: $85
So about $310, plus whatever a couple pieces of electrical tape costs (used to seal off the drain).
I'm on the Gulf Coast and the heat and humidity get pretty high. Even with our home's AC set at 72, from May-October the room in which I keep my cigars gets up to 75 and sometimes higher. So to me it's worth it for the peace of mind.
Once my wife has retired and we've settled down for good I plan on saving up for an Aristocrat. But for now the wineador takes care of business just fine.

Solution may be simple... If you have at least 3.5" between the trays, you can double- stack. If not, you can sand down the sides height a little and still double- stack. (sounds like a Wendy's commercial). Sounds like the width is spot on. Suspect you can fit the depth, since the door is about an inch or more clear from the trays. :tu
Keep us informed.

ok Rob I just ordered 7 of the cheap humidors 10 1/4"x8"x 1 1/2" trays.
I will make 4 full drawers one half drawer and use a bamboo cutting board for one self .
I ordered 7 1"x36"x1/4" cedar boards to make the drawers an inch deeper .
Not as thrifty as I was hoping . but not to bad .
I also ordered a bottle of TightBond 3 wood glue.
The WineAdor project continues !
