Pretty simple. What was your first cigar?

My first was an H. Upmann toro in tube.

Philly or is it Phillie Blunt. It coincided with my first "jungle juice" which coincided with the first couple of times l threw up out of moving car.

Conversion stick--can't remember but I was fond of Royal Jamacians and Sosa torpedos. I had a cuban H Upmann tubo early in my storied cigar career that was pretty much wasted on my inexperienced palate.

Fairly it certain it was a Swisher Sweet I picked up for Gar Night at my dorm in early 80's. Hard to believe, but we smoked in the lounge on every other floor back then. Mornings after Gar-Nights were some of the worst.

Swisher Sweet.

First "real" cigar was a Camacho IIRC.

The first several cigars I had were unbanded, so I don't know what they were. The first one I bought was a Macanudo Portofino.

First cigar would be a black and mild plastic tip, wine flavor. I threw up shortly thereafter, but I suspect it had something to do with the Popov vodka I was drinking after prom and not the cigar....I haven't drank vodka since and still get nauseous when I smell black and milds...

First actual cigar would be a Nica Libre toro. Smoked lots of Nica Libres back in the day! Now, I can't get near them.

First ever was a backwoods from my brother. Cool, we looked like green Clint Eastwoods. First premium was an acid kuba kuba. Not bad. First "real" cigar was a HDM dark Sumatra. Now we're talking. First cc was a party short that gophernut laid on me. That was almost a religious experience.

So far you are the first one to mention Acids as one of the first. It is interesting since I hear a lot of guys talk about how that is what a lot of people start on. Not knocking them just interesting. My first cc was a week ago it was unbounded from a buddy who has a buddy haha so I'm not sure what it was but you could definitely tell a difference. :2

The first cigar I smoked was some service station pick up. The first cigar I smoked that left any impression was a Macanudo I had with a friend while in college. I think I had a few of those before stopping for awhile.

Hav-a-tampa with birchwood tip. My dad smoked them, so that meant I did, too. First real cigar would have been something from a Thompson's sampler, if that's what you call a real cigar.

The guy that pushed me down the slope loved acids and still does. I had my share of kubas, juicy Lucy, natural dirt, and Javas when I started. I probably smoked those for a couple of months then moved on. I've tried to smoke them since, but they're just too sweet for me now. No knock on Drew estates here either. They were a great place to start.

First ever "cigar" was a King Edwards on a hiking excursion. Followed shortly thereafter by a AF Curly Head Deluxe. Followed shortly thereafter by hundreds and hundreds of others.

Years later, still love a good cigar, and now have moved primarily to pipes. However, cigars were my first love, and helped get me through some tough times. My humidor will always be stocked for when the mood strikes.

Ha! First one was when I was 11 years old and my grandfather caught me and my 13 year old cousin smoking a cigarette. He took us out behind the barn and told us "If you're going to smoke, you're going to smoke like a man!" He handed us each a Philly Blunt (the kind that he smoked). We both turned green and puked!

Years later my first adult smoke was a Macanudo Hyde Park when I was about 23 years old with some coworkers. I was hooked, and have smoked cigars ever since (for the past 26 years).

The first cigar I smoked many years ago when you could smoke in a public area was a Macanudo Portofino Tubo. I was staying at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Chicago for a few days with my (then) boss for a trade show. We ended a long day with a nice dinner and a stop the hotel bar that also sold cigars for an after dinner cocktail where he introduced me to my first cigar paired with some Grand Mariner. The rest as they say is history.

First ever was some kind of "It's a ..." I think.
I think I smoked some Tiparillos I stole from someone's dad at an early age.
First real cigar was a Macanudo or maybe some kind of Fuente. Liquor store cigars.
Hard to remember, easy to forget.
First Cuban was some kind of Monte, toro sized. Before the internet.

My first cigar was a Macanudo something-or-another. I remember smoking it in the parking lot right after I'd bought it. I was laid up in the parking for an hour or so after smoking it before I was ok to drive home. I faintly remember laying on the ground next to my truck waiting for the crappy feeling inside of me to go away. :r <- Like that but more nauseated.

First cigar that really pique'd my interest was either the Tatuaje Verocru No. 1 Lado Occidental or a Davidoff Short Perfecto. I can't remember which one I smoked first.

My very first was a Hoyo de Monterrey (exact type I cannot remember at the moment) back in 1995 to celebrate my graduation from college along with a Glenlivet 12.

While I've expanded my repertoire of sticks, my preference is now the Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur Dark Knight I (http://www.hoyodemonterreycigar.com/about/excalibur/excalibur-dark-knight/). But I am also finding myself becoming very interested in the Bonita Premium Estate 18th Anniversary (http://www.bonitasmokeshop.com/bonita_premium_estate_blend.htm) as well. Both go nicely with either a Balvenie 15 or 18. :)

Like many of you, Backwoods was my first. Smoked it during a poker game in the living room of my tiny apartment shortly after high school.
