Mickey Rooney, who spent nearly his entire life in show business, died today. He was 93.

Rooney had been in ill health for quite some time. We're told death was attributed to natural causes.

He was one of the most famous child actors in entertainment history. He played the role of Andy Hardy in "The Hardy Boys" in 20 films. He also starred in National Velvet.

First movie I remember seeing him in was "Boy's Town" with Spencer Tracy when I was a kid. A true Hollywood legend.

R.I.P., Mr. Rooney.

They just don't make all-around entertainers like him anymore. Rest in peace, Mickey.

A legend.
We can only dream of having been romantically associated with half the women he was.

Mr. Rooney was at the RTDA show in Las Vegas, think it was a dozen years or so ago. He was helping out in the booth of a small boutique brand of stogies, a friend of his was invested in the company. So, Mick was sort of playing hospitality man. He ended up mixing me (and himself) an Irish whiskey, then we sat down and sampled the no-name cigars together. What a hoot he was!

Sad he only had $18,000 to his name when he died. Money isn't everything, but it shows how crazy his life must've been. From what I read his 8 divorces drained a majority of his money.
RIP
