Things seem kind of slow around here. I have trolled a few other forums and it seems to be slow at those places as well. Used to be I could jump on here several times a day and would always have at least 3 pages of new posts to keep me entertained.

Is it just the time of year, end of winter? Just my imagination since I took such a long break?

Enjoyed seeing all the familiar guys here and trying to catch up some. Plenty of new guys as well.

Not a bad thing. Just curious.

It happens Jake......called Life, some people just get away from the keyboard so to speak, I'm sure they are still enjoying their cigars, just not posting much about it......it happens, but they usually eventually find their way back :tu

I'll admit I don't post as much during the frigid Jersey winters, but come spring, I'll be much more active again. Even when I don't post, I still read the threads a few times a day :tu

Yeah, I'd say the frigid temps have played a part in that. A lot of guys, myself included, are banished to the porch or garage to enjoy our smokes, and when it's 20 degrees with a 10 degree windchill, sometimes it just ain't worth it, lol. Once the spring thaw hits, I expect things will pick back up.

I think it's all in what you're use too. I visit around 20 forums on different subject's and have for 10 years. Motorcycles, guitars, performing arts, and music. On a couple I'm above 15,000 post because there's a lot of discussion every day of the year. For cigars, I'm following 5 forums and they're, in comparison to the other subjects I follow, in active. What I mean by that is this: I can read/review all the new posts on a cigar forum in 5 to 10 minutes. On other subject's I follow there are 5 to 10 pages of new posts for the day. There is nothing wrong with that, so far it just seems to be the nature of the beast.

I am a fine example of that. Stepped away for about 2 years and getting back into it all. Missed the friendships and interaction of the forums. In that 2 years I still smoked but I didn't hunt down every HTF new release. Heck I didn't buy a thing. Lived off my well stocked humidor.

I'll be a good bit more active once Michigan isn't a giant ice cube. Too cold to smoke or do anything else outside :sad

I've noticed a slowdown across several forums, facebook, even some political sights.
Personally, I'm pretty busy. I did smoke a great Vegas Robaina Famosos yesterday.

This is my first time back on in a long while. We just had a baby and work has been non stop busy the last few months so jumping on the forums has been tough. I did run into Smokey Joe at my new local hangout and got to chat with him for a while. It was nice to catch up with him as I haven't seen anyone from the Raleigh crew in a couple years.

I took an accidental hiatus due to work, moving, starting a business, etc. Kept smoking cigars, although not nearly as often, but as others have pointed out...people make their way back!

It is never worth it. No way to enjoy even an Opus while in 20 degree weather. Too cold to be able to enjoy what you are smoking.

A few weeks ago I lit up a stick when it was -15F outside.

It was worth it for the first 5 minutes or so...
