I was an active member of Yahoo Pipe Smoker's Club back in the day. Got to know a guy over there by the screen name of TBomb (Bob Rhode). Well, he died on December 26, and his gal/wife Judy (they lived together for 13 years, so common law wife?) called and asked my help.
Seems Bob had no funeral insurance.
He did have a bunch of medium & higher end pipes and lots of tobacco cellared. Judy would like to sell them to raise capital for funeral expenses and medical expenses for what will not be covered by his health insurance. As they were not married, she is also loosing his income and will not be receiving his benefits or Social Security.
Here is what I am going to be doing:
1) selling tobacco as she gets information to me about what is there.
2) looking for people who would receive pipes to sanitize, clean, and either sell for her (for a commission) or keep for yourself.
She is not equipped to handle such things. I will be taking a few to clean up and sell for her myself, but we are talking over 100 pipes. There will probably be a number of Castellos, Dunhills, and other upper middle class pipes too.
