View Full Version : I used to chew tobacco!!!!
I am just gonna post this now although technically I still have two more days until the year mark but I think I will make it. I have not bought a can nor even had a chew in 363 days!!!! Saving me approx. $2,300 over the year (although I did spend some $$ on cigars). My lip, gums and teeth thank me, I think I can consider myself an ex-chewer!!! :banger

My sense of smell and taste has improved!! Cigars taste better and the stronger ones really kick my @ss because I don't have all the Nicotine in my system at all times!

Hey man, good for you! That is not an easy thing to give up and should be a testament of what you can set your mind to.

Good job Mike, congrats on the milestone. I've quit on and off since high school, just can't seem to shake it for good. I think it's time to try again!

No one can make you, just gotta decide to do it and do it, if u want :tu but it appears that it can be done, I thought there was no way in hell I could quit! And cigars do help with the Nicotine fix :)

Congratulations man, giving up the nasty tobacco isn't easy but it's definitely worth it. Plus, like you said, more money for cigars!

Summer 1984 I was on the baseball Field at St. Bernard high for our game. Had a chaw in and started to load more....
tossed it out. Tossed out the pack in my back pocket. Went home tossd out the case or 2 I had in the house.
Never chewed again ....
Damn I miss it and can still taste it when talking about it ..
Good Luck keep it up,
Rob :tu

I'm in awe, Mike. Seriously.
I managed to quit for a month here and there when I was trying this past summer. I went straight outta my freakin mind. Toughest thing I have ever tried to quit, and mind ya, this is coming from a guy who stayed drunk for 20 years and hasn't had a drink in almost 11. That was cake compared to trying to quit snuff.
I'm gonna have to quit someday, but I'm guessing it's gonna take a lobotomy to do it. :)
Congratulations, my man. That is one incredible feat, don't take it lightly.
I'm damn proud of you!!! :tu

Nice Mike! I have been trying to kick the habit since my college baseball days 5 years ago. I'm at two months now! Props on a year and it's tough for me to make it this long!
