I gave a couple of cigars out the past weekend and found a couple of holes in them. So I get home and find a couple of more sticks in the same situation. I have now put 400 cigars in the freezer to stop the process and am cleaning out my humidor. Just a reminder to everyone on FB to periodically check your stock. Thanks for listening to my rant, just pissed me off that I had to deal with this.:td

I smoked a Hammer and Sickle new release that was given to me last week and heard a beetle egg pop about 1/2 inch into the cigar. From your experience, what cigars seem to be the worst offenders in showing up with beetles?

And this is why I always freeze all my cigars when I receive them.

I caught it early, only lost 6 cigars. 2 from ISOM and 4 others.

Just moved everything back to the humidor. SUCKS, I found 6 more that were eaten into. Just glad it was not my entire stash.

Had those darn beetles myself. Put the stash in the freezer and within a few weeks I had beetles again. Guess where they were hiding...in the Heartfelt Beads. Froze them and the problem was solved. So check eveything in the humi.

Never would've suspected the beads. Will have to keep that in mind for future reference.

Sorry about your bad news Larry.

Thanks for the wake up call though as lately I've been slacking on freezing stuff I pick up from B&Ms. So anything I'm not planning to smoke soon will get frozen and stuff I plan to get to in the next week or so will get moved to my solitary confinement humidor.
