Picked this out of my humi. Have no idea what it was, when I got it, or who gave it to me. The small writing is in Cyrillic. Decent smoke but horrible construction.

Maybe if you didn't take such blurry pictures! :r

but seriously, I dont believe I've ever seen that band before. I'd be curious to know what it is if you ever figure out.

a never before seen band...i looked for about an hour last night and couldn't find anything. Google image search was a bust. even tried looking at eBay through the "cigar bands" and still nothing.

I was hoping maybe to discover a cigar brand by reading the Cyrillic, but no luck- at least it's not a brand I ever heard of- if there is a brand in there!

I was hoping seeing the letters would help, but now that I see they're not letters I'm even more confused

Doesn't Russian language use the Cyrillic alphabet?

If nothing else, i have an old roommate that was Army Intelligence and is fluent in Russian and several other languages in that region I could try to pass the image on to him and have him translate it if we have no one here that can.

I'm guessing it's eastern European Cyrillic as opposed to Greek. Now I feel bad that I smoked it!

Yup- looks to be Bulgarian coat of arms! "Unity Makes Strength." Could this be a CRA release?

My Russian buddy thinks it's possibly Bulgarian.
Closest he can figure: "United Our Rights to Drink" though maybe not "drink".

He's checking with a Bulgarian friend now, I'll update when he gets back to me.

Hugh, I'm thinking it's one band of two that comes from a house brand from just a couple years ago. I seem to remember them coming through in troops piles.
Then again, I could be totally wrong. I immediately thought "La Sirena" but knew that was wrong before I even looked.
Was it a corojo wrapper, or something on that order? Not a connie...
