This is a link to an article for some cars found in a lake that had up to six bodies in them. It just seems to convenient for both the cars to be that close to each other. If this really was an accident that happened twice with in a year and a half you think it would have happened again. Just me thinking how crazy this seems to me.

I am wondering if you guys think this was foul play or just two freak accidents that happened.

Dollars to donuts, yeah, related.
Same location.
Same MO.
Same era.

Bet the house if one wishes. Guaranteed winner.

Story I read said the 69 Camaro was lost in 1970, the other a late 50's Chevy was lost in the early 60s. So 5-10 years apart. Doesn't mean it could be foul play.

I read that the 50's Chevy was thought to be missings from '69, 1 year earlier, Mike. One of the two reporters is confused.

We'll have to see how the occupants died first before rushing to judgment.

Hopefully that can be determined after 40+ years under water.

I think the only way this investigation will go anywhere is if there obvious trauma to the bones (because the bodies where eaten by Nemo).

If they were shot then the bullets were possibly still inside of the bodies somewhere, and could still be in the area where the cars were found. IF they were shot. Could be evidence on the remaining bones like chips, cracks, etc.

This is a very interesting story to say the least. Anxious to see what the coroner finds out.

I'll be sure to contact the coroner and make sure they check to see if there was water in the lungs, if so then they died after going under water. I'm just cool that way... so, sup with you?

I kind of wanted to see an overview of the area. Possibly this is just a dead man's curve?

I wonder if an insurance claim can be put in on those cars 40 yrs later? "

"Yeah Hi.. 40 yrs ago I loaned my car to someone and it never came back? I was wondering if you could send an adjuster down to tell me if its totaled.. seems the police have found it!"

My buddy had a modified big block '69 camaro almost identical to this one back in the early seventies, right down to the factory racing strip on the snout. I remember cruising in it many times, and the feeling of the G forces when he punched it. I can totally see these guys having a few beers, maybe a toke or two, taking a wrong turn, punching it and - whoooops.

Is this it? Doesn't show how the roads were back 40 years ago.

It says there is a boat ramp there. So there has to be a road somewhere.

okay, maybe the roads didn't really change much. I'm thinking 44S would be the road that they went off from.

Maybe a small dirt road. That leads to the lake. Or maybe a parking lot

it does seem like the perfect road to do 130mph down at night.. pretty secluded and straight. Given the intensity of incandescent headlamps back then...could def see someone veering off that road. Besides some of the curves.. deer? elk? oxen? bigfoot? looks like many ways to end up in the lake. Surprised 6/6 people didn't make it tho.. usually 1 or 2 get out alive.. I'm a tow operator.. and I see people survive some really iffy stuff out there on the road.. and 9/10 times no air bags go off.

Good point, you would think someone would have survived.
