So a guest came to town carrying a TON of fresh produce to a farmers market.

After some talk and finagling. A discount given yielded me these...

Yum! Those are good looking peppers.

My pepper plants didn't produce this year unfortunately (or haven't yet). I may get some late season jalapenos and habaneros.

stuff em with some cream cheese and bacon and throw them on the grill till they start turning black, you won't have a "too many peppers" problem anymore :dr

Nice! I pickled a bunch last year. They cane out great. I also put garlic cloves and sliced carrots in with them. Good eats.

Man you are lucky. My Jalapeno plants are putting out a ton of peppers and not one of them as any real amount of heat, most don't have any. They taste almost like green bell peppers. But stuffing them with cream cheese and wrapping them in bacon makes them tasty none the less.

toss a thai dragon in the middle of the jalapeno, you won't be complaining about a lack of heat

You might have grown the Jalapeno "M" variety, which is supposed to be a milder variety.

Nice haul! I got a few Jalapenos from the farmers market last week that had some good heat to them. Only bad part was after cutting it up before cooking it I couldn't stop coughing for like 15 minutes lol

My son fried up a few (split open) in a pan to put on his grilled cheese a few days ago and we were coughing and chokin' in the kitchen too. LOL

jalapenos
Low Fat Moz Cheese
Turkey Bacon - (just not the same but close enough)
Lil' Smokies
sans bbq sauce

Good eats... :tu

Those look awesome Rob. Might have to try that this weekend...minus the "healthier spin" part.

I used to use turkey bacon. Then I found pork center-cut bacon that had less fat than any turkey bacon. So hooray for center-cut! :)

Those look great.

You're lucky...it's hard to find jalapenos with a nice kick.

Look yummy

I hardly ever buy jalapenos. For salsas and such, always use serranos if you want them hot instead. They are hotter and more consistent.

10,000–23,000 - Serranos
3,500–8,000 - Jalapenos

Agreed. For salsa, I stick with serranos and chiles with more heat. For ABTs, I like to use Hot Jalapenos if I can find them.
