So today is a tragic day 😢 my cutter broke. I've had the ol girl for 3 years. Not sure on the brand. Figure it's time for a new one. What are the good ones I should get? Any help is appreciated

Are they really worth the 50-60? I mean I know it's a lifetime warranty and all but I still here how guys are sending them back multiple times to be replaced

Same Palio now since SoCal 7, so 6 or so years. No issues and it stays sharp as long as I clean it at least once a year or so.
Had a Xikar before and didn't have any problems.
By lifetime warranty, they mean that. Send it back, get a new one. That one has a lifetime warranty as well.
I have 5 Palios, but only 2 ever get used. The others were presents from people who thought so highly of them that they gave them to me as presents.

Since i havent seen it mentioned yet...
I recommend Palio. :)
I've only had one issue with mine. I lost it sometime over the winter. I'm hoping a fellow BOTL found it and is putting it to good use, but it most likely fell out of my pocket in a parking lot or something. Now i just use a razor blade from a utility knife.

I use the Xikar X8, it cuts smooth every time.

Another recommendation for the Palio. I've had mine around 5 years or so. It looks good, feels good in the hand, and it still cuts like new. Although truthfully, I only use it 20 or 30% of the time. I actually prefer a good punch.

A Palio can be had for under $40.

My original Palio has to be approaching 10 years old now? Still great.

Well I tried out the Palio the other day. It felt nice in my hand but I was a little surprised at how light it was and how "light" the material it was made of seemed
Have both - Xikar and Palio. I prefer my Xikar.

I have both a Xikar and a Palio, I prefer the Palio but wouldn't shy away from a Xikar.
I would recommend going into a shop to play with both before you actually buy one.

I used to use an expensive cutter until I lost it. Pi$$ed me off.
Then, four years ago I bought a 5-pack of cheap double guillotine cutters
for about $10 shipped. I still have 4 of them - 3 in the wrapper unused.
And I cut cigars every day with it. Only reason one is gone is because
I lost it somewhere. No tears shed for losing a $2 cutter.
Didn't say the same for the expensive one.

I have used a xikar for the past 12 or so years. They have replaced it twice in that time due to the blades getting dull. I had to pay postage to ship it each time but the service was really fast. I have used a palio and cannot find fault with that one either. I just like the way my X8 fits my hand and besides it matches my soon to be replaced xikar lighter. The replacements arent due to faulty craftmanship or materials, I work for a living and they spend a lot of time in my pocket getting beat up by coins empty money clips and the occasional drop.

The Palio will pay for itself quickly,in perfect cuts versus damaging a good stick.
I hesitated for a long time and then tried one.Needless to say I bought two, this was two years ago, still going strong.I even gave a couple for presents,I see them weekly when I herf with my friends, theirs are still going strong.
I have nothing but praise for this cutter.
