I'll tell you what we did about four years ago when we paid off our house.

Not much for awhile.

Save, invest, have lots of fun, buy cool stuff you wouldn't otherwise, that's what we did.

Of course now we are looking to sell our house and move since our local real estate market is high, and buy a nicer house, cash of course, in an area where prices haven't come back yet.

We'll see, we are still looking to develop a source of income which will allow at least one of us to quit our job.

Why not still put that money in to your house as improvements? Like a swimming pool or new appliances or maybe just maybe a two story deck that the 1st floor will be for entertaining your "friends" and the 2nd level is for your true friends.
