Dose the pepper note come out more when not properly stored?
I know a lot of cigars push the pepper note but when not kept in a humidor properly will it make pepper more prominent in none pepper cigars?
Thanks
In my experience, it's not really a pepper note, but more of just a harsh acrid taste.

So that harshness from being to high or low in humidity?
Thanks

Depends on the cigar, some just taste that way to begin with. Very dry can cause a harsh acrid taste, very wet can cause a sour note, if it even burns.

I was wondering also if it's what's on my pallet before smoking and may need to brush my teeth and tongue beforehand to cleanse it
Thanks brother!

I would think brushing right before smoking would effect the way the cigar tastes almost like drinking Orange Juice right after brushing. What smokes have you been experiencing this as a good number of smokes to offer a little of a pepper blast in the beginning until they mellow?

It happen last night with a Perdomo, MOW Ruination and a Ashton VSG Illusion, then this morning I had a Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970 Belicoso and it was heaven
Thanks
My opinion is that an improperly stored (dry) cigar will lose much of its flavor notes which tend to be overpowered by the woody harshness of the dry burn.
