It's been a while since I've wondered down the dark road to CB, but if I remember correctly you put in your current bid, and then your max bid. If someone has a few too many beers and their reading comprehension is compromised the current bid can get confused for the max bid.

When I play with the Devil I always do two things: I keep another browser tab open so I can check retail on what I'm bidding on, and I double check what I've put in the current and max boxes.

No joke, but I've noticed at the end of the month, the bids get a little crazy. Just my thought, but I've always chalked it up to people getting their paychecks or social security, and the influx of money burns a hole in their pockets.
