Hello all... it's been a while. I've been steadily working building humidors.... and this humidor is finally at a point where it starting to look like something....

My client wanted to prominently display his faith as well as display his name in ancient hebrew.... he said the rest was up to me.....

So... 73.5" tall, 36" wide and 21" deep.... the top part will have 4 or 6 trays in a display mode....

The middle section, behind the Stars of David will have 5 spanish cedar drawers each.... then the bottom portion will be strictly box storage.

There will be two Avallo accumonitors installed - one for the top and one for the bottom.... the controls will be mounted in the left accessory drawer.

I can't wait to finish her up and get it delivered.... It's constructed out of Wenge & African Mahogany.

The clamps are on there cuz I haven't got the hinges yet... they should be here in the next couple of days.

Even the back side is finished..... (I can't stand it when they cheap out on the back of things).....

That's a beautiful piece of furniture, I love the old world style to it, def can picture the Rabbi heading over to pick out a cigar for the night, for that matter it could be to house the Torah and I mean that in a sincere way.

Really nice job Brother!

Quick update..... she had to take the back seat for a little bit... bit, she's back up on the bench getting finished off.....

This cabinet is in two pieces... the bottom, portion, which is complete except for the finish and installing front latches.... and the top display portion... which should only take me a day or two to finish....

Here's how the bottom finished out....

Avallo Accumonitor system installed.....

Passive air flow from bottom (box storage area) to top (drawer storage)...

Drawers with "mirrored" slats....

Accumonitor controls mounted inside the accessory drawer.... I need to tidy up the wires, but she's hooked up,

Beautiful work. If you don't mind me asking, what finish did you go with for the Wenge?

I asked a shave-brush maker to turn a brush handle out of Wenge about a year ago. He has quite a bit of trouble getting it to take the high-gloss CA finish. He suggested tungoil but it wasn't the look/feel I was looking for in a shave brush. I'm sure it would work fine for other purposes. Eventually I found a suggestion to heat up the first coat or two of CA with a torch. This allowed air bubbles trapped by the pores to thin out or escape. He tried it and it worked perfectly. I was just curious of your solution as I love the looke of Wenge. It's gorgeous.

Here's a couple pics (not embedded as it's a bit off topic).
