Sent him cigars via USPS Priority Mail with signature confirmation. Got the confirmation card today, signed by Mr. Overton himself

I am so honored. I plan to frame this with a photo of this hero!

Mr Overton turned 109 this year. I hope he makes it to 110 next May (on 5/11/2016). We should send him a special gift.

Here's an article about his 109th birthday with an interview. http://abcnews.go.com/US/oldest-living-world-war-ii-veteran-richard-overton/story?id=30843011

I'm on another board where we donated cigars and had a Texas member go to his house to hand them to him last year. This TX member is a 45 yr old, tall, long-haired, hippie freak, but Mr. Overton openly invited this stranger into his home for a 2 hour long conversation about his war days, showed him lots of pictures and memories, and they enjoyed a cigar together. The brotherhood of this hobby never ceases to amaze me!
