It was about 6 few years ago that I pulled up to a gas station on a trip. After tanking up, I went in to pay and they had a bag of Hot Deep Fried Peanuts in the shell - eat the shell and all. I thought that would be a great driving snack. They were delicious. Dummy that I was, I threw the bag away and committed a brainfart on the name of company who produced them. Well, about 4 years ago, I found them in the little Amish store I visit for bulk foods - I bought a couple bags that day - remembered the name and visited their website about 3 years ago and bought a whole case.
Well, the Amish store is gone - there is a new one, but they do not carry the peanuts. Then the website said there was a peanut shortage, and I haven't had any in over a year.
Well, the other day I stopped by the website and what do you know, they're back. I ordered another case divided equally between the Hot, Cajun, and the Garlic.
If you have never tried them, you owe it to yourself to check them out.

Not sure if the brand is the same, probably not, but I have seen them in stores here in the south before. don't think I ever bought any. Next time I see them I will have to try them. I hate roasted peanuts but absolutely love boiled peanuts.
Those look tasty Rev. Gotta get me some.

Deep fried peanuts are phenomenal. I find them from time-to-time on my treks around the Mid-West and further south into Kentucky and Tennessee, mostly at smaller, privately owned gas stations. I enjoy the "Cajun"-ish flavors that I have found the most. :tu

Pretty cool. Sucks that you can't post again for almost eleven months, though.

How much is shipping? I don't really wanna enter all my info just to find out shipping. Is it reasonable? I'd probably be willing to try a bag of each.

I'm willing to try fried.
Boiled peanuts are the 2nd grossest thing I have ever put in my mouth.

I was young... In college.... It was a time of experimenting...
Rofl. I kid I kid.
It was actually a serbian dish made from boiling the joints of some animal and turning it into gelatinous cubes the color of urine with bits and pieces of lips and hips floating in it. By far the nastiest thing I have ever eaten.

That's my father-in-law's favorite dish! He made me try some a few months ago after rendering the stuff down himself in my kitchen. Smelled like hell for a week.
Fried peanuts sound tasty, though!

JR's in Statesville, NC carried these. To me they were NASTY! As they were to my wife, sister, and FIL. I tried to finish them w/o the shell, but it was just too messy. Glad the Rev likes 'em- he can have my share!

I eat salted shelled peanuts shell-and-all, I love em. I've learned from experience that it's best to go easy on the shells. Only eat like every other one or they start doing damage on the way out. I've pretty much mastered how many I can get away with before I have to suffer.

Thanks Rev for the info.
I just purchased a few days ago; free shipping was nice to get...I purchased 6-7 of each flavor.
I love crunchy stuff, that are fairly healthy to snack on.
Lord Bless!

I've heard this before, the shells have zero nutritional value so no reason to really eat them.... Tho maybe the frying process softens them up enough it doesn't kill you? Who knows lol.

These peanuts are smaller than what you normally see as peanuts in the shell. 3 and 4 in a pod are common. I do not know if the different style of peanut (I believe they are the spanish peanut varietal) or if it is the frying of them that makes the shells easier to digest and not tear up the lower GI.
So. Me and the future wife took a trip to SC and GA. I stumbled across a place called Carolina Cider company that also had these on hand. I only grabbed a bag of Cajun and they are very tasty.
