This thread is meant to share what tea you're drinking, be it Lipton to Pu'erh.

Tonight I am drinking Jasmine Pearls green tea from Adagio. Not bad, but I need more convincing to buy more.

What Tea are you drinking?

I'm drinking Harney & Sons Hot Cinnamon Spice.:dr

It's been the start of my day for the last couple weeks.

Some mainland TGY brought over earlier in the year by a student. Doesn't taste like TGY Taiwanese style, I doubt it is even from the TGY bush - more like an AliShan oolong (chinshin bush) to my taste.

Drinking a cup of Adagio's Lounge Chair Lapsang. Not as smoky as I would prefer, but well balanced.

so what's your verdict on the Jasmine Pearl? I was a big fan when I first started drinking it. Now, not so much. The perfumed taste is not something I'm fond of anymore. For a change of pace it's OK but I have to be in a certain mood for it. Sometimes I throw in a couple pearls and brew up a mix of utility teas just to give it a lift.

Sorry it's taken me forever to get back to you!

The perfume is a bit much for me. I can bear it once in a while, but those teabags will likely go a long while before I use them all.

I had Ginger Pu-erh tea the other day. That was interesting. I'm not a big fan of ginger, so I think it made the Pu-erh taste/smell funky.

Some BOTL here (Emjaysmash himself - thanks again, brother!) bombed me a bag of Teavana China White Needle (I think that was the name of it) a while back. Now I need to go to their website and order a couple others. I really liked the change of pace from coffee.

A milk oolong from Teasource. I tried it a couple times at work but the water wasn't hot enough, it's quite good with my electric kettle.

smokers don't drink a lot of tea? I may be an exception then? I prefer tea over milk and coffee though I hate the nasty stain it sometimes causes. Right now I am into chamomile tea. My girl says it helps cure insomnia.

Really enjoying "Gold Peak Iced Tea" which is easy to find in most every grocery store. "gjose" a good way to avoid staining your teeth with coffee and tea's is to drink them through a straw. You get used to it after awhile and it really does make a difference.

I am going to be drinking Taylors of Harrogate Yorkshire Tea. My daughter phoned from town to say she had found a store with a promotion that made it quite inexpensive, so I asked her to buy a dozen boxes (960 bags). That should last a month or two.

Bumping this up. I've been drinking a lot of tea lately. Puerh mostly, lots of Raw/Sheng/Green (whatever you prefer calling it).

Favorite lately has been a 2007 variety out of the mengku factory; mu ye chun 002.
Very good stuff, and can still be had for 30 bucks a cake which is a dang good price.

picked up some Just Make Taiwan Tea oolong.

Loose tea sold in a vacuum pack and packaged in a tin. Awesome quality tea for a great price $5+/100g on sale. Lightly fermented. Tastes faintly like a natural milky oolong. Been able to steep 6 times with a final cold steep (for several hours) and delicious every cup. Very creamy taste and aroma and mildly vegetal tasting.

China Pu-Erh Tuo Cha, Size 1.

I like the pressed shape and wrapping for the tactile sensation of preparing this tea. It is a very unique flavor, very earthy, almost some mushroom notes. I like it with a bit of honey in it.

I had read something by someone, not remembering where, that they enjoyed this tea. It was a strange enough name that I had to consider it. Nobody locally had it, so I had to order it online.

I am glad I did.

Just recently got in to the tea thing started with Lapsang a very tasty tea strong and heavy in smoke almost camp fire! Yun WU green, also split a tea cake of 1962 Pu-Erh.
The same damned co-worker that started me smoking cigars got me into this Tea thing. Also got a plastic steeper for these loose leaf tea's. I enjoyed tea before but now it is a whole new world.
If anyone has a suggestions please let me know.

Tea service was delightful in the end. I had a lovely Lapsang Soujong that was quite similar to the Russian Caravan my better half makes at home. She had a Darjeeling. We forgo the Dom Perignon opener because we were going to a wine event later in the day. Tea service was just $80 for the two us. Look forward to having it again.

I take Ginko pills every day. I never thought to drink it as a tea! Thanks for the idea.

I typically drink a mint tea. Love mint. Helps settle a sour stomach as well!

Lady Grey can be pretty nice, cold brewed, but it gets tannic pretty quickly, so keep an eye on the steep-time.

Still my usual rotation of al-Ghazaleen first thing in the morning and Ahmad-brand Ceylon tea during the day, both loose-leaf. Let 'em sit and brew nice and strong...on rare occasion, if I do it right (and what "it" is, I still don't know) it can reminds me of a liquid Montecristo!

Actually it's all pomegranate, the candied piece are pomegranate.

I have a candied ginger rolled in turmeric that can be used as a tea. Tastes good, but looks like piss... I use it more for cooking or snaking instead of tea.

I drink a lot of tea but its all Lipton iced tea. I make it fresh daily reg. (2) 20 oz cups at lunch. Then I make fresh Decaf at night (1) cup at night with my cigars!

I have really been meaning to start trying some hot tea for breakfast. I used to drink coffee everyday, but was killing my acid reflux so I quite years ago and miss it!

What would you recommend for a morning cup that is strong, rich with some sweetness?

… What would you recommend for a morning cup that is strong, rich with some sweetness?

A British or Irish black would be a good place to start. Taylor’s Yorkshire Tea (I like the red blend), Barry’s I mentioned above, PG Tips Extra Strong, etc. You might find some of these at a Cost Plus World Market, but also easy on Amazon. If you have an Indian food store near you, these also carry imported tea. You’ll find even the Lipton yellow label blows our U.S. stuff away.

If your interested in whole-leaf tea, there are amazing Assams (rich, malty, and sweet) or Yunnan blacks that take things to the next level, imho.
