Ever wonder what to do with those empty cartridge boxes?

Me too ! Now they're all gone because I buy the 500 round cardboard box ( 50 per box ) shells now for .22

Did this today.. We were discussing it on another thread..
( I still like ED's better )

Mmmmm, kitty litter with perfumed flavor crystals. That should do wonders for the flavors of the cigars...

But its so much cheaper to get the blue flavor crystals, they look a lot like the blue toilet bowl cleaner inserts too. :bh

Naa they don't stink. I'll get beads eventually.

You do know that they aren't similar products and do not regulate humidity effectively in small batches like the one shown. :2

Larry-
This keeps them at 62%. I've seen Heartfelt beads at 70 and 65 but not for regulating 62%. But to be honest, I haven't looked too hard.
The KL is holding at 62% for a while now in two different humidors. If they weren't working, they would not be in there. :)
I really prefer 62%. And I don't like those pads. If you want to throw me a link for beads that you can trust, , I'll check it out.
If beads would be better I'll take your advice.

HCM beads can be set to 62%.

Thanks . I'm thinking 8 oz bag should overly suffice for two typical run of the mill cuban crafters 75 seat humidors.
I like the plastic collector unit they have there but I am not sure how many I'll need so I'll just buy the media by the LB

edit/
I see in another thread hear it may be unwise to open the bags.

..I'll try two 4oz bags. The onsite calculator says that's enough

Yeah, the media itself from the bags is physically much smaller than the HF beads or KL beads. Michael ("cigarnut"), the owner of the line/product is very responsive to questions, I'm sure you could hit him up with any you may have.

The canisters are 4oz and 8oz respectively. I don't know the internal dimensions of those humidors, so I couldn't say how much you need, there is a calculator on the site though.

Yeah I plugged my humidors' dimensions in and it says 1.5 oz, but says to double it. So with the two humidors I'll take two 4oz canisters. The bags are OK but the can with 4oz is only 2"x2" and probably the most space efficient out of all of them. I can adjust the RH to 62 myself. But for the investment I'll just get them pre-calibrated. I'll order these tomorrow and tell Mike you said hi. Thanks Andy

Hijack over, Ed, my apologies. But it was time to get this done. Thanks All

Yeah I did the Kitty Litter thing with that exact same foam humidifier...

Picked out all the blue ones because I was scared...

Opened my box up... kitty litter was ALL OVER the place. It seperated.

Went and bought 2 Xikar big ones.

If there are issues here at CA then those involved can address it with Ed and/or the Admins. To the best of our knowledge, there are no outstanding issues here.

Your original post and reply here serves only to bring issues from other boards here. If you read our rules, that is not allowed.

The scumbagslist can be a useful tool but it is not universally accepted for its content.

Never have them left over. I always refill mine with more ammo from "bricks". But a very good reuse idea!!
