I just can't seem to find one that I enjoy. For some strange, unknown reason I want to like these cigars but it just never happens. I smoked one at my local B&M last night and same result. Loose draw, burned hot, got bitter. Anybody like Macanudos around here? Never see anyone saying they smoked one in the "What did you smoke today" thread. Maybe there's a reason.

I hear you, I have probably tried 7 or 8 of these and can't seem to find one that I like. Each one that I had tastes like crap, no matter where I get it from, lol I have buddies that love them, I have given up.

For a beginner I'd recommend them. They are too mild and boring to me. Even the darker ones. I've heard they are the no.1 selling cigar in the US. Not sure if its true or not.

Same.
I haven't liked any of them. G/f's uncle loves them.

All caveats about liking what you smoke, etc., but to me they're cigar training wheels.

I used to like the Cafe's quite a bit when I first started smoking. But now I don't care for them too much. There are mild cigars with much more complexity for the same or cheaper cost.
They got me started in this hobby, haven't revisited them since :sh But I liked the ones I started with :tu

I agree with this statement... my uncles love Macanudos and I used to smoke em' with them, since I have gotten into better cigar brands they don't even hold a candle to a "real" cigar...

I remember enjoying the 1997 Vintage as well when I got started. Beautiful wrapper, held up well, great presentation with the metal band...Haven't had one in a couple of years but do remember it being on the mild side, which was good back then. If I saw one at a decent price I'd try it again for s's and g's...

Dull and mild. With that said, sometimes that's what I'm in the mood for.
I got a boxes of them.

I have always avoided them because I have read that they are very mild. I had a cafe for the first time over this past summer and it was one of the best smokes I have ever had....I picked one up a few weeks later and it was tasteless. I'd still be willing to give another 5-pack a shot before writing these guys off.

I like the little Court Tubos with coffee in the morning. As I smoke cigarettes, too, I can just inhale these. Although quite mild, there's plenty of flavor when you do that.

They're sorta the MacDonald's of hand rolled cigars...

I was thinking about something similar the other day. When i first got into cigars , i used to think Backwoods was a good quality cigar. Had my first one in about a year a couple weeks ago , and it tasted like plastic to me.
