A happy and bizarre thread about star wars Pics and stuff that make you laugh or take note is being bogged down with
discussion about who shot first, whether or not one actor or another is a di(k, If George Lucas is the anti-christ
and all kinds of other things. Maybe this means that there are not enough STAR WARS threads here. So instead
of dragging down a good thread with a bunch of boring crap, we can discuss all kinds of Star Wars news and opinions HERE.

I have not watched the animated clone wars series, even though I have made a few DVDs of 6-8 episodes.
I don't know what is holding me back. Maybe I think I will hate it, maybe I think I will love it too much and end up
having to seek out and download these things out like The Walking Dead or something. Maybe next weekend?
I hope they are not awesome. I really , really do.

I have never seen any of the Star Wars films, so I can only say that the ones I have seen were great. Or sucked.

Whether you're a fan or not...how did you make it through without seeing any of them? That's just amazing. Baxter eating a whole wheel of cheese amazing.

Didn't have much interest back in the day, and now ti's become sort of "a thing". Never seen any of the Indiana Jones flicks either.

Be sure and let us know which posts belong in which thread. If in doubt, we can always start a third.

It would take something a liked to make me feel good about the Bears. Mila Kunis, maybe?

Tom, maybe a movie about Mila Kunis cloning herself?

The Empire Strikes Back has been my all time favorite film till about nine seconds ago. It just dawned on me no one smokes a cigar in any of these films. These movies blow chunks. The Godfather: Part II is my all time favorite film.

First of all - Brad, I appreciate the new Thread!

Second - I think I know what you are going through. Sometimes, I regret reading a Star Wars novels or watching some of the Clone Wars episodes because it sheds new light where perhaps it didn't need to be.

The issue really isn't about the Star Wars films as much as it's about the Expanded Universe of Star Wars.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_Expanded_Universe

I remember reading some of the very first Star Wars novels that came out in the '70s, such as Splinter of the Mind's Eye which has Luke and Leia falling in love and big time making out, with maybe some heavy petting. It expanded the universe in a way that is not congruent with where Lucas took us later on.

While I'm glad I've read many of the novels and watched all of the Clone War Episodes, I choose not to except other people's versions of events. I block it out, like many people block out Episodes I, II, and III.

Use the Force Brad!:tu

Arguments? Debates ok?

Dante: All right, so even if independent contractors are working on the Death Star, why are you uneasy with its destruction?
Randal: All those innocent contractors hired to do a job were killed- casualties of a war they had nothing to do with. (notices Dante's confusion) All right, look-you're a roofer, and some juicy government contract comes your way; you got the wife and kids and the two-story in suburbia-this is a government contract, which means all sorts of benefits. All of a sudden these left-wing militants blast you with lasers and wipe out everyone within a three-mile radius. You didn't ask for that. You have no personal politics. You're just trying to scrape out a living.

Oh, a Star Wars f**k film! That might get me to see my first Star Wars movie ever, especially if they cast Mila Kunis as Princess Lay-ya. :D

Pretty sure this already exists (minus Mila) at least according to rule 34, it does.

Oh good, finally an opportunity to ask a question that's bothered me since the seventies. Are wookiees related to guinea pigs?

Tom, I have the whole Star Wars collection of everything, Stephen gifted them to me and I watched them all. I can hook you up if you feel slighted. You're kinda uncultured if you haven't watched them all. I just caught up last year. :D

I was unaware that they had made a movie about Reagan's ill conceived missile defense shield. And you would think that I would know about it.

How do you not like the WARS Tom? More Importantly, how did a man of your age (that was, I presume, alive when they were in theaters) not see it?

Vader should kick your ass...

Saw the originals in the theaters, great trilogy. The other three? pure crap that should never have been done.

I never said I didn't like Star Wars, Rob...I've never seen it, so how could I not like it? ;)

I'd freaking crush Darth like a bug, though. ;)
