Sorry to hear Darryl, Sounds to me like you should kick back for a moment, smoke a cigar, drink a bit of that good Canadian Whiskey you guys have up there and relax for a bit...
Things will get better, just give it time my friend...

Not to be harsh but welcome to the real world. I had to replace my furnace and AC this summer and then while in vacation in the fall my water main broke and flooded my crawl space...
This is all part of the joy of home ownership :)
My sympathies are with you Darryl!

The bad news is the diswasher just quit, the good news is that it waited until after we had the family over for Thanksgiving. The new one is being delivered tomorrow.

That sucks! Don't feel bad, though. I spent the last half of last weekend pi$$ed off because the transmission in my car decided to bite the dust. I see your two grand and raise you another $300!

Well, look at it this way.. If you didn't bust your ass and get all that extra pay -- You'd be short a lot of cash and couldn't get your stuff replaced. Hell, if my brakelights go out I'm gonna start crying!
It does suck bro. Been there done that.

I am with you dude. Been one of those years (decades?) for me. Four kids eating me out of house and home, small business in a rut, blah blah blah. Not too long ago I was reminded by a friend of the importance of at least trying to maintain a sense of thankfulness for everything I do have and for everything that has gone right. After I punched him in the nose, I got him a towel with some ice and then considered what he said. Doesn't always work all the time (still lose it in a rant once a week or so) but for the most part, if I take the time to reflect on the good and thank God for it, the bumps in the road don't seem quite as big. Prayer sent for some good news for you tomorrow.

Look at it this way. Now that you've dropped the cash into those, you're good for a while. I'd hope anyways.

Refinery work? I'm down here at BP Cherry Point. My heat pump took a dump last year at a most inopportune time, hurt my bank account bad. It seems to come in cycles.
