I interchange between my Jobon Single flame, and my Xikar Inpress single flame. Both have been flawless for me.

I normally use my Zico dual flame, given to me on my birthday by my wife.

Otherwise I use matches (indoors) or a Bic disposable when my Zico isn't with me.

LoL... I knew that would come up sooner or later... I thought about including china, but didn't want to offend any possible Chinese cigar smokers...

1 Bugatti
1 Alex Bradley Bunsen Burner
and a few Ronsons

I have tons of lighters, but my daily lighter the last year or more has been a DealXtreme. I got 6 of them for $14, and haven't broken out the other 5 yet.

I love it, great table lighter. It takes a can of fuel to fill it, but lasts forever.

I alternate between my DealXtreme single flame and my DealExtreme triple flame. They're kinda like Chinese Energizer Bunnies.
If I'm feeling a bit highbrow I get out a Blazer, but sometimes they don't fire and really ruin the effect, which in turn lowers my self esteem and makes me feel sad. Then I have to smoke a big cigar in a misguided effort to overcompensate for my sadness. Where's the choice for smoking a big cigar?

Tried lots of different lighters. Always come back to the Ronson. It's decent looking, fits a pocket well and always works.

Does Ronson make any lighters other then the one I can find at walmart? the one i have has a decent single flame but I am partial to a triple flame myself...

I have a Xikar, Colibri, Black Ops, and a Ronson Jetlite.
The $5 Jetlite is probably the most reliable, but I use the Black Ops triple torch most of the time to get it started, and the Jetlite or Colibri single flames for touching up.

My favorite inexpensive lighters are the Tiger brand. You can get them cheap from ebay and Amazon. They don't make my favorite dual torch anymore but all of them seem to keep on working.

Ordered 5 solid lighters from Dealextreme.com last year and still have 2 un-opened in the drawer. Keep 2 in rotation and gave my buddy 1. $2.49 each - free shipping. I used to like Ronsons. I can never tell how much fluid is in them and they often leave me without a flame at the most un-opportune times. I like seeing the juice!
Next poll - what kind of butane do you use? Or how many times is your butane filtered?

I got a guangda as a gift. The thing will not light. Filled it with fuel, tried to purge, and nothing comes out the spout. Almost like it's clogged. Obviously, my experience is not representative of guangda. I just haven't taken a look at trying to fix it because the ronson still works. I should look at it again soon.

Could happen to any of the $2, $3, $4 lighters.
At $2 /ea from DX, it's hardly worth worrying about.
What I never liked about the Ronsons is their miniscule fuel capacity, the lack of any way to visually tell how full the dinky tank is, the metal triggers that might look cool, but heat up pretty quickly, so if you're lighting a few cigars in a row, by about the 3rd one, you're burning your finger, and, worst of all, the nonsense searching and chasing around needed to acquire one. I mean seriously, I think I can get the newest LE from Tatuaje with less effort than it takes to shop around to find a Ronson.
The DX lighters, I go to the website, click a few buttons and however many of them I want magically show up on my doorstep 2-3 weeks later.

Agreed on disadvantages of the Ronson. Except the searching for one. I have about a half dozen, because they are always in the express lane at my local Walmart. I have had the Ronson heat up when more than 1 person is using my lighter. But 99.9% of the time, I'm smoking by myself out on my deck. I don't care for the fuel capacity of the Ronson, but then again, I'm most always smoking at home, and always have a can of fuel around.
It would be nice, however, to know when I'm running low on fuel. That's been my biggest pet peeve. Only get the foot halfway toasted, and have the lighter run out of fuel. I've sworn at the Ronson a few times when that happens.

True, Ronson availability has always seemed to vary by region.

I voted Black Ops because I use a Kilo that I keep in my desk at work. I like a triple-flame in general and it has a nice larger-gauge punch on it... most lighters with built-in punches, especially cheaper ones, have a smaller gauge than what I prefer.
I also have plenty of Ronson Jet Lites floating around. I buy one or two whenever they're in stock at Wal-Mart... my favorite is the dark chrome with the art-deco pattern on the side. I stash them random places (golf bag, glove compartment, briefcase, etc) and PIF plenty of them as well.
I've been jonesing for a Xikar Element for awhile (also has a larger-gauge punch built in), but I'll never drop more than $20 for any lighter. As a substitute I'll probably pick up one of these from DX for $5ish, and also try a few of the different Blazed clones everyone else here has been pleased with...

I still use the Ronson that mariogolbee gave me in my NST when I first joined the boards. Since then I've bought 3 or 4 more to keep around. Perfectly functioning, cheap lighters.
