As the title says, I've just received my first order of cigars. I've got options now, versus being limited by the two brands the local store carries, and I've got no clue what I want to start with! So without further ado, here's the list.

Cohiba Red Dot Robusto
Hoyo Excalibur Epicure
La Gloria Cubana Serie R #5
Macanudo Hyde Park
CAO Black Bengal
Punch Pita
Gurkha Triple Ligero Toro
Torano Noventa Santiago
Garo Double Habano
Rocky Patel 15th Anniversary
Macanudo Especiale
Alec Bradley K147 Short Run
Padilla Legacies
La Reloba Oscuro
PDR 1878 Capa Corojo
Padilla 1948 Ed. Limitada Robusto

I'm probably going to pick two and put the rest through the freezing process before going into the humidor.

Next question: Should I leave the plastic sleeve on them while in the humidor? They all came individually wrapped, I know this may be a 50/50 thing, but what do you guys prefer?

Thanks for the help!

I can't help with your decision other than to say pick two and smoke them. Only one way to determine your preference in cigars & that is to light as many as possible. Enjoy the ride!

There's tons of threads out there debating the age old 'cello on or off' question...

Any on the list would be good to smoke. I leave them in the cello, helps prevent damage to the cigars if they roll around.

Before jumping to smoke one, I would allow them to rest a bit if you received them in the mail. If its AD hit in AK as it is here, i would give it a week or two

I leave the Cello on and HATE it when I get cigars from others with the Cello off... Nothing worse than after a week in your humidor the ones with the cello off start getting wrapper damage. I have no idea how others keep their cigars from getting damaged without Cello. I barely touch my sticks and it happens to me.

I leave wrappers on,it helps prevents damage, Plus i like to write the date i put them in my humidor, When i take one with me to go someplace i can slip it right in my top pocket and not worry about it, Also when in the humi the flavor won"t be affected by others.. [do you want your expensive cigars breathing in you dog rockets. nuf said...BOtL
